Honestly, the way I view your ties with Shane is the same way I would view if someone had a family member who was a drug addict.
And that is that you are not responsible for their problems. No one can hold you accountable for their issues. Its okay to still associate with them and let them know you still support them, just not the problematic thing they do or did. They need to sort themselves out, and you need to do what's best for you.
So if you feel that it's best for you to return to Colorado, go do it girl!
