How are you able to cut the clay like that? Whenever I try to do this the clay rips. I use Fimo Professional.

I think he might be using something like supersculpy firm which really holds it's shape. That's my guess anyway.

make sure to prepare the clay properly. if its hard you need to mix it with soft so you get a medium, i use a pastalinda to mix everything over and over until its smooth and soft enough to work it.
