Thanks for the advice! I definitely hear you on the soggy oven version. I'm tired of "heathly" soft oven fries. They can suck it! Why waste time preheating the oven and then baking for 25 min when you can do this in less than half the time? Plus, the boost in flavor from the oil and the crispy consistency will make this a winner every time. Going downstairs right now to give my frozen fries the hot oily bath they deserve. Thanks again! 🍟
Amen🙌
Trust me, get an air fryer
@@metro-v8 air fryer fries are shit compared to fried fries
Yup I hope your health starts rapidly declining
You really can find anything on youtube. Tyvm 🙏
Yesss! Lol
Currently watching this video at 1:36am in the morning desperately craving french fries haha - I’m definitely gonna try this out tomorrow thank you so much for the video 🥰
It’s so embarrassing that I had to look up how to do this since I was never taught and basically living off of TV dinners growing up, only just so recently have I gotten a place of my own and went out shopping for food only to come home but not know how to cook. But I gave this a try not too long ago and got my fries exactly the way I wanted them, I appreciate it so much!!
Oh wow! Awesome- I’m so glad you were able to make them and that they turned out good. I was hoping that I was explaining correctly for everyone to follow the process well so they’d turn out really good at their homes! 🤗🍃🍃
Don’t be embarrassed youtube is a great teacher
Ive been cooking fries for 15 years.... incorrectly. Sometimes they are excellent sometimes not so much. Learned my lesson, dont use too much heat
Don't be embarrassed. It isn't your fault. Not all of us are blessed enough to have people to teach us. I just hope you didn't learn because your parents were abusive and neglectful, as is the case for me. They taught me nothing but fear and how I'll never be good enough. I've been cooking for myself for most of my life (especially since giving up most meat when I was 12 or 13), and I had to teach myself how to do it. Most things I've learned I had to teach myself, but I definitely gained a lot of knowledge from watching cooking shows and RUclips vids. Don't be ashamed of how you have to learn.
@@englishatheart i’m so sorry you went through that. ❤️
Out of all the tutorial videos about how to fry french fries the right way, this video helped me make the best one.
Ma'am thank you very much, my mother never taught me how to cook so this is very helpful :) love from indonesia
You’re welcome! 🤗💗
I tried this out and the French fries came out so good and crunchy. They weren't burnt or hard or mushy at all. The french fries came out exactly how you said they would.
Hi Nesha! Also, if you like pound cake try my Pound Cake Recipe 🤗 Just type in the search bar Tracie’s Place Cake Recipe and about 7 or 8 should pop up 🙌🏽✨

This honestly makes sense. Approach them like French fries, just basically frozen and pre-cut. I’m going to try this, thanks for the video!

Your advice worked PERFECTLY my fries came out BEAUTIFUL AND GOOD
Yaaaaay! I’m so glad it worked for you! 🤗🙌🏽

God bless you lady, i just made best french fries ever !

Should I defrost the fries first or is it ok to put them in actually frozen?
You can put them in frozen 👍🏽✨
And here I was thinking fries cooked in just a couple of mins. Thank you!
You’re so welcome! 🤗✨
Hey, I'd really recommend using a metal or wooden utensil when working with hot oil. Even if the spatula isn't visibly melting, it can still release toxins and microplastic.
Hi! Thank you so much for the tip! I appreciate you 🤗💗
Those steak fries looks so yummy. Can I have some with salt, pepper, ketchup and Hotsauce ☺️
Lol, thank you Vickie!!! 🤗✨💗
Perfect. I was so scared of putting frozen fries into oil. Thank you!

Thank you, yes- they are so tasty, and with some good seasoning... yum! 😋
Lol my moms at work and you helped me thank you 😊
You’re welcome!!! 🤗✨
Bro same 😭I’m bout to make some delicious fries

I have been doing this for years so much better. Another thing you can do if you don't feel like cooking all that oil. Just get a cookie sheet places all the fries you want on it. And melt about a big table spoon of coconut oil and pour the coconut oil all over your fries then bake them. And they still get crispy so good
Hi Lynn! Ohhhh... thank you so much, wow- I will try that!!! 🙌🏽✨
Can you taste the coconut oil?
@@nayelli1764 No you can't
This is really helpful for me so I know iam making the French fries right 👍😊

people need to cook fries like this again, mine turned out perfect the first time i tried it this way.
Thank you so so much!
I put the frozen fries in a dry mix of pancake powder, chili pepper, pepper, oinion powder, paprika, parsley, and oregano, then let thaw for a fea minutes to stick to the seasoning.

THANK U SO MUCH THESE FRIES ARE DELICIOUS
Thank fror visiting my channel , watched all your ads I will try this method . Showing my full support
Hi Marie! You’re welcome! And thank you for watching!!! 🤗✨💗💗
Made frozen fries today, and messed up everything from crispy to inside crunch and now watching this video to not mess up again.
Few rookie mistakes:
- DON'T Take more oil than required
- Fry fries in batches
- First deep fry them for inside and second fry them for golden brown outside
- At first boil oil at 3 mins at high flame then shift to medium flame for a min and then deep fry your fries 🍟
DON'T MESS UP LIKE ME😅
So sorry they didn’t turn out well… 😊
I needed this i was In the mood for fries at 300 in the morning 🌄 but didn't know how to get it like that thanks 😅
Hello from Canada, I cook my fries in beef tallow or fat, you will never go back to oil. Beef tallow is expensive but I found a cheap way of getting it. Around Christmas, grocery store sell beef suet to make pie crust. I buy a few packages and in my slow cook, I slowly render the beef suet into fat. It slowly takes a few hours, strain it and refrigerate it. It will last forever in the fridge. If you can find beef tallow cheaply great, here it's expensive . When I went to Belgium, every street corner sells fries in beef fat, that's how I converted. I promise, you will love them.
Awesome! Thank you so much for the tip, I will try to look into that! 🤗✨
Thank you for this, I didn't wanna make something wrong so i searched for this.

OMG I love those fries! Yummy ❤

You’re welcome!
Do you use vegetable oil or canola oil?
Vegetable oil.
I did it w just oil and came out 👍🏽 , but did you put a little bit of water and oil in your pot ??? I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to put that much oil or mix it with water
Hi, no- no water 👍🏽
I tried it with rapeseed oil tasted much better than expected. Would frying like this work with frozen battered cod?
Hi there! Unfortunately I never tried it so I couldn’t say… 😉
@@traciesplace well I oven cooked them and they tasted good so I don’t think it’s necessary to fry. As an Englishman I’m still curious though! I tried frying oven chips like this and it used so much oil so tried again in a pan to only cover the base and there was much less oil used, plus it tasted just as good 😊
It worked 🤷♂️👍
Yes! Awesome! 🤗✨🙌🏽
Going to do tonight
Thanks for the great video

What kind of oil did you use?
Hi, vegetable oil 👍🏽
PS. Your voice is SO beautiful
Thank you so much! 🤗
so i need to have it on medium heat which is 7? then i just need to let it fry for 10-11 minutes? ok thanks
You’re welcome 👍🏽
As a broke university student. Thank you❤
You’re welcome. ☺️
thanks for this ma'am
You’re welcome! 🤗
Do you cover it with a lid?
Hello, no- do not cover with a lid ✨
@@traciesplace did you add salt to it please?
How long do you let the oil heat in the beginning?
About 5 minutes or until when you stick one in it sizzles a bit in the oil 👍🏽
Thanks
You’re welcome ☺️
My problem with store bought fries is not my cooking method. Hannaford brand used to be good. Then, suddenly, no matter how I fried them, they were dry. Tried WalMart brand and had the same issue
Hope for the best 🤞🏻. I’m afraid of getting burned
Be careful 🙏🏽🙌🏽
I had the same bag of Kroger fries too
😆
🤗
Frying french fries that long will get them saturated with oil. You definitely put too many in that oil at once. it lowers the temperature of the oil and is no longer frying them. thats why they arent a nice golden color when you are finished.
Whatever happens during the process is known- they are cooked thoroughly so they’re not half raw- they are delicious and accomplished the purpose of the video. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much,I got your card today, your so sweet,🏵️❤️🙏
You’re so welcome Beth! 🤗✨💗💗
I needed this my mama so so upset this morning lol

Is vegetable oil good? Or no
Yes vegetable oil is what I use 👍🏽
How much oil?
About 4-5 cups depending on how many fries
I'm eating them right now bye putting them in the microwave for 4 mins 👁️👄👁️
👍🏽
Thanks my sweet baby 😘!

2 cups of oil is fine ?
👍🏽

@@traciesplace Hallelujah!
I’m nervous
What temperature is "medium"?
Approximately 400- but not positive. As long as it looks similar to the demonstration 👍🏽
But 10 mins is quite longer time..also you are deep frying it in oil..so it's not going to be healthy..
No, not healthy, not that it’s not important- it just isn’t the aim of this video. But they are delicious 😋
@@traciesplace If US people don't stop using so much oil in their food, you guys definitely going to face lot of health issues in future..
@@amravati-fununlimited6835 so true! 👍🏽

Very little instructions?.... Amount of oil? Quantity of fried used...?
what type of oil?
Vegetable oil
@@traciesplace did it matter which oil it is?
Mine got burnt
Oh no 😯
"Medium" can vary by 50° in either direction, so I'm guessing your oil got too hot. You really need to know your target temperature for the oil. Not just some general range.
What a SWEET woman! 🙏
Aww thank you! 🤗

Chips not french fries. Fries are thinner. Learn the difference.
Here's I made beef bourguignon (shows u a beef burger with sauce on)
The bag says fries- here in US chips are potato chips in a bag.
Man wtf is this
