@@HaoPieldeoso In an apparently deleted scene in At World’s End. Beckett reminds Jack of a past deal that resulted in Jack being literally branded a pirate, he responds with “People aren’t cargo, mate.” in a very somber tone. As though there wasn’t enough reason to dislike Beckett.

Depp turned what could have been a struggling costume drama into one of the most hilarious and biggest box office successes. He lifted the script to dizzy heights and brought all the other actors to the heights with him. They (the actors) all shone with great performances, because of Depp's character and his generosity of spirit. They didn't hold back.

😃 I think my favorite "best pirate" scene was in "Black Pearl," when Jack arrives at Port Royal and makes a truly memorable entrance: standing erect atop the mast of a small whaleboat which is in the process of sinking, he times his step perfectly to land him on a dock, while his boat sinks behind him. 😸 Even though this is the first time we meet Jack, I'm loving the rascal's style already! 😏

To think that quote actually became the inspiration to the band ned Bring Me The Horizon, whom I love.
But on the movie side, it was such a great final line for a pirate to say. Really encapsulates the romantic side of being at sea all your life. Kinda makes you wanna join Captain Jack Sparrow and sail with him. By far the best pirate indeed.
i was just about to comment this, just finished watching the whole pirates of the caribbean series with a bunch of friends, what a shame that cliffhangers like barbossa falling in to the sea wont have a movie where he comes back, blackbeard said something along the lines of " to me god shows it face the best by showing the most vile things of the world" obviously it isnt what he said word to word, but a huge series that has been so many peoples childhoods, comes to and end like this, its baffling. and the fact that a case like this has gone over so long even though it is quite clear that even though johnny might not be the "perfect" person, he is no woman abuser and abuse goes both ways

I kind of wish the Pirates movies had focused on the adventures of Jack with Commodore Norrington always being just one step behind him.

Same. They should have continued with Norrington chasing his "worst" pirate who "ruined" his life while being just 1 step behind him. It really would have been awesome.
Too serial no resolution or depth that way. They made the world so much deeper and realistic with the newer villains
