I watched your first reaction yesterday and was so looking forward to this one. You didn’t disappoint. I became obsessed with Prince’s musical genius back in 1989 when I was just 15. I saw him live for the first time in London in 1993, and another 16 times all across Europe including his last gig in London in 2014. Prince is next level - one of a kind - he was our Mozart. I was blessed to live in his era, and reactions like yours keep his spirit alive. Enjoy your journey down the purple rabbit hole. Peace from the UK.

He taught himself 27 instruments. The performance was going to be cancelled, they were so afraid of all the guitars and the electrical equipment. So they asked Prince do you still want to perform. His response was can you make it rain harder.
So many present day artists name Prince as one of their main musical inspirations. He did pop, rock, funk, R&B, rap, hip hop… A musical genius from our generation that will live on because of his insane talent!
BTW He was in the rain, in heels on a slippery stage playing multiple electric guitars live! Best superbowl halftime performance ever!!!

This was the day that PRINCE won the superbowl game.
This performance is sublime and you have to appreciate that it's 100% live (unlike most of the recent Superbowl performances). The electricity running through the stage as the pools of water were forming on a slippery floor, anything could have happened. It was just a heroic performance from the master. Bravo!!!

There are two types of people in the world. Those who think this is the most amazing Superbowl Halftime Show ever, and those who are wrong.
The one time they had a football game at a sold out Prince concert. They called him a few hours before the game and ask him what he wanted to do because it was raining and he said he would perform. Also Prince is in high heels on a wet stage. That man was beyond awesome.

2007 I was in Baghdad, caught this, at morning breakfast after running a mission all night. Went to bed after this, because the game became nothing to me after watching this performance. ❤❤❤❤

Prince was extremely fashion forward, and could wear alot of things other ppl (other than Cher) wouldn't even try. He once wore assless chaps on stage!! These kids now days, trying to shock us by what they "almost" wear don't have nothing on Prince 🎶🎵💚

The day they had a football game at a Prince concert. Each year he's come in at #1 of halftime shows. Watch It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night and you'll see him play the drums. Info: The stage in this performance and that last guitar's eclectic shape is called the "Love Symbol #2" and it was Prince's name from 1993-2000
BUT it has NO pronounciation so he was referred to as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince" or just "The Artist"
Edit: People (mostly the media) did and still make fun of this name calling him names "Squiggle" and whatnot but it was VERY spiritual to Prince and is the MOST accurate and true way of showing your love and respect as a fan.
Prince was such a "real" man! The folks from his home town, Chanhassen, Minnesota told of their interactions with Prince. On Halloween, he would actually stand outside and hand out candy to the children. He was a Jehova Witness, and actually did his service door to door. Can you imaginge answering a "ding dong" Prince is calling!!!??? He helped the community and put himself right out there. The death of this amazing man, brought us Minnesotans to our knees. ❤❤❤ Everywhere lit up in Purple. This perfmance can't be topped! 8:37

I knew PRINCE in his early days (with the bands "Grand Central", & later "The Revolution"); very quiet when he was off-stage & always scribbling lyrics down. He married his 1st wife (Mayte Garcia) on Valentine's Day, 1996.......their son, AMIIR (means Prince in Arabic) Nelson, was born on Oct 16,'96 with Pfeiffer Syndrome - type 2; Sadly, he died 1 week later on Oct 23,'96..........for privacy reasons, the hospital & the death certificate listed the baby as "Boy Gregory", the mother as "Mia Gregory", & there was NO father listed !! In 1997, they became pregnant again, but sadly they miscarried; Mayte went into a deep post-partum depression & he threw himself into his music...........they divorced in 1999. Although he married a 2nd time, that marriage ended also (no children). I still weep every time I hear "When Doves Cry" & watch the video ! [R.I.P. - "Skipper"]

Prince told the producers that he got this and asked could they make it rain harder. Literally, leaned into the storm and made it his bitch. If never rain prior to nor after any other Superbowl in history.

For the Super Bowl they look for volunteers to rush the stage. They don't get a ticket for the game, they run on the field for the show, then they leave. ❤❤ They might get paid $100 bucks. My sons do halftime shows for the Packers to do traditional Native American dances, they get $100 bucks, but don't get seats for the game. (That's my source). ❤

Prince was a legend. He was busy fighting the music industry before anyone else was. It is sad most the younger generation will never realize and enjoy this man's live musical performance genius. He was and is the best live performer there ever was. Period.
