Thank you for giving the actual measurements! Couldn't find a single YT reviewer that did that. And I almost didn't buy it, because the depth measurement given on the Lego site was massive. It sounded like you needed an entire table to fit it.
Great overview. Thanks for the dimensions as this things enormous. Also great tip on aligning the roof tiles. Should save a lot of time. My favorite Easter egg inclusions are the nightmare fuel Bilbo face, Boromir meme face, and hidden away eye under the table
this is the first big set i ever ordered from lego, and i got up early on sunday just in case it would have a rush. cant wait to get my hands on it. it is pretty much all i ever wanted from a LotR set, and it is my favourite book. hope they come out with some other sets in the future. a modern take on Shelobs lair would be great, or Faramir and the Rangers hideout
Great video as always! and a big THANK YOU for adding the measurements too!! i'm still waiting for my copy to arrive and i was discouraged by the official dimensions in lego website.. thought it was 50cm deep. but now i think i can fit it to my display bookshelf!! keep it up!
Hi! You mentioned IKEAs Billy book case - I'm thinking of putting my modulars in some book case - the problem is that the Billy shelf is 76cm and if I measure correctly 3 modulars are 76,6cm - do you have some experience if maybe those 6mm are compensated by the inside dimension of the case itself?
stickers are just lazy and a cheap walkaround. Lets be honest, nobody takes the 18+ Sets appart and therefore the argument of part reusage doesnt make sense
Hey balazs. I did know that in your video about the lego ideas a frame Cabin. You did say this: I will still have to build it so I can be able to share my opinion about the price. But unfortunately I didn't get this set for an early review. That will only happen sometime in February. But it looks like you didn't do a review of it in February for some reason.
True, because I didn't expect to have like 10 other sets to review in February. I just got the A-frame cabin, I'll do my review when I'll have time for it, hopefully in a week or two.
How big is the model in cm? I feel like LEGO’s measurements are off. They advertise 50 cm deep but it looks off. Only measured from the flat back to the extension on the right.
I won't do a review, sorry. Would take too much time and at this point not many people would watch it. I squeezed most of the interesting details in this video and the previous one anyway.
I'm watching your channel for a year now, I greatly enjoyed your reviews, building tutorial and explanations and i always followed your purchase recommendations but that Raid Shadow Legends bullshit was a real stab in the heart. Massive disappointment.
It's totally up to you what you think, although I'm not sure what is that fundamentally different between the ads RUclips throws at you randomly and the ones integrated in the video, especially because these are super easy to skip.
@@RacingBrick I'd say that Raid Shadow Legends is a terribly addictive money sink. And terribly addictive in a bad sense; it is not addictive because it is good. It is like cocaine. Not a game I could ever be tempted to promote.
@@Frazec_Atsjenkov I watch several RUclips channels with over a million subs, Raid is one of the most frequent sponsors. I checked the model before accepting the deal, I don't think it's worse than any other freemium games out there. But thanks for sharing your opinion, I'll take it into consideration for the future.
Spare him, he is just a human and he has family :) I think that what all doesn't like is fact that there was no adds in your content and all of the sudden long one occurred. I would try to do shorter ads at very begging so people get used to it.
I don't want to disappoint you but I won't waste a week of my time on a building review that barely anyone will watch after all other reviews gone live 2 weeks ago... That's the cruel reality of RUclips nowadays, and I have to be mindful of my time.
@@wings9925 voice commands? :D I cannot give solutions for every possible scenario, but unlike unskippable RUclips ads, this one is pretty easy to handle.
This year I will have to decide for budget, but also space reasons if I buy the 10305 Castle, the 21335 Lighthouse or the 10316 Rivendell set (#1stworldproblems). I'm leaning towards the 90th anniversary classic castle. All of them are great, but shelf space is preciousss.
I'm open to suggestions, what would you prefer instead? Would you pay for Patreon, or a channel membership? I cannot and don't want to offer exclusive content, so I don't think it would be fair to ask my viewers' money for practically nothing in exchange. With in-video sponsors a company pays me, not the viewers. You get 90 seconds of easily skippable content, and I have a compensation for my efforts. I'm not sure you realized but these videos don't really make themselves... And as a final thought, YT has ads and they can show you whatever company they feel like, what is the big difference?
@@RacingBrick I guess at least its not a VPN sponsorship. I love your videos - I've bought many kits based on your fun reviews - and I do understand the need for compensation. I already pay for YT Premium to avoid YT ads - so in my case, I would definitely consider a patreon or channel membership. That's just me though. You obviously need to decide what's best for you. If you keep going with in-video sponsorship, I'll do as you suggest and skip forward :)
@@chrislonghurst actually I had one VPN sponsorship last year :D But to put it in perspective, I published 101 videos last year and 3 of them had integrated ads. LEGO videos are not super popular among advertisers and I also rejected some of them as I didn't feel comfortable with e.g. a war-related mobile game. Honestly I don't feel I could provide any extra value to a Patreon / Channel membership setup, as I cannot publish my reviews earlier than the embargo to provide some "exclusive" content. As I mentioned I prefer companies to pay me rather than viewers, and the ads are super simple to skip.
@@RacingBrick Thanks a lot for clarifying that! Where and when exactly did you get it? I reordered from the "second round" on the offical LEGO website.

I like the build review’s better than this new top 10 thing, still a great video though

Ikea Billy 80x40 for the win!

If lego doest do some normal priced set for kids and people that are not billionares, they are way too greedy
They're not being *only* greedy. They're building the sets that adults, who grew up with Lego, want.

That's a tough one, I measure 76,2mm so you'd still need a bit more, and I'm not sure the modulars would like to be squeezed constantly.

I don't think so
