Dear Chris, thank You a lot from Russia! I've been waiting for a review for Helstons Bill jacket for more than a month, searched all over the internet, almost learned French but eas unable to find any decent info beside 3 photos (front/back/guy in a jacket). I was especially waiting for a review from MotoLegends knowing that You're making absolutely honest reviews. Finally I've ordered my Helstons Bill jacket 1 hour ago(!!!) and immediately after the order i've discovered this video! Thanks a lot! What a pleasure to watch! Take care and have nice rides on Your motorcycles all of You guys at MotoLegends! Thanks!
Love you videos Chris. Bought a Helston Force USA jacket from you back in early 2015. It's been brilliant and really only just breaking in. Only downside, at times, is its weight so now looking for a lightweight jacket for summer use. Will probably be another Helston. Keep the vids coming.
Dear Moto Legends, please, could you give some insight on exact sizing of the Bill jacket in this video and the dummy's chest/arm lengths? Thx in advance!
The flapping of the collar at speed is actually a major no-go and the reason why I won't consider this otherwise fantastic jacket. Had the same issue with my AJS jacket. Shame. But it fits my experience with Helstons: they make a 95 % AWESOME product and just fumble the last 5 %. It's the same with my Helstons Rusty. Amazing jacket, but the wrist is too narrow to even fit a glove underneath (yes, some folks have gloves that are NOT short cuff or gauntlets). To me, it doesn't seem like Helstons actually test their products during R&D for an extended amount of time. I feel like they design a jacket, put a prototype together, sit on the bike for 30 seconds and decide to call it a day. Shame, again. Also, I highly suggest NOT sizing down. I did this with my Rusty. Bought an L, expecting it to get a bit wider during the season, but it stayed snug. Too snug, hence my quest of looking for a new jacket for 2022.
Hey Chris. Greetings from Tucson. When I was a baby moto rider in 1969 I visited Lewis Leathers on Great Portland Street and bought a full Belstaff waxed cotton riding suit. Am I remembering correctly? Very interesting to hear the history from you. Cheers.
I ride in the central part of California where it is hot as can be. Such a great aesthetic but the non-detachable waterproof liner is a non-starter in arid dry weathers :/

The Spidi looks better imo. You guys should definetly try to convince them to make these again. Good decision to buy that Spidi Chris.
Watching from South Florida.
Great information on products.
