This is all part of an ambitious undertaking by Datu Shishir Inocalla to promote Filipino Martial Arts through the sportive path.
Sport is one facet out of many that can serve FMA and help it continue to grow.
This tournament will be featured as part of a 13 episode tv series that will feature different instructors and systems while showcasing the depth of FMA including historical, cultural and artistic elements.

Amazing! I just have an observation, it's something I am trying to work on, I've noticed when sparring we get into this 50/50 back and forth "fencing" dance. I am wondering why do we fall into this, when we practice alot of lateral movements to come off the central line and switching our stance? Is this something more advanced people don't do, because I am still very much a new student.
