- This probably the most difficult and advanced thing I've had to learn by ear and transcribe. Holy shit.

I set this cover as my second stretch goal for Patreon thinking, oh it's all minor seconds and shit, how hard could it be. First of all try MAJOR SECONDS AND CLUSTERS everywhere, second of all no, this was tough. The best thing I could think to do was to literally play the thing (which has 4 doot parts. FOUR PART FUCKING DOOT ENSEMBLE.) and then try to form chords that worked around it.
The sustained notes were easy, they were usually major seconds so using the lower of the two notes and just dropping a major or a minor chord made a really cool sounding 9 chord. The rest however had to be chords based around the average note in the cluster to sound good. Now I don't expect this to hit radio airwaves in this century and nor do I expect you to listen to this on your iPod, but damn was this a bitch and a half. I still hear this song in my sleep.

"Here's a guitar pick. It might be handy if you, the Master of Shredding, take it with you."
"That was too close! You were almost a Jules sandwich!"
Very good
@smiffwilm sprays Jules in the face wirh white Axe Body Spray can "WOAH WHAT IS IT?"
This sounds like if Dream Theater was playing a show where John Petrucci was falling down the stairs the entire time
with their 30 songs, that would have to be a LOT of stairs
or an upwards escalator?
Fuck lol, hilarious comment
@@RyanLafford hi Ryan
It sounds like the guitar just wants to die
i hope you're proud of yourself
Hahah
I don't think anybody has ever been truly proud of this song.
😂😂😂
This is a good.
My phone won't let me like your comment. :(
You guys did a collab before, right? Either way, please make a collab in the future. I love you both. ^__^
i just made the connection, i saw you in jonathan young's video, and had downloaded your nohr version of lost in though all alone, and never realized it was you lol
People donate money to you and this is what you give them
I'm a monster.
+FamilyJules7X An adorable metal monster
+FamilyJules7X I can't wait to hear about this on the next boy flop
Approximately how many 0's is that?
This is actually how the original song sounds, too. Even for something that is supposed to cause a person unease in a horror game, the composition of this song is just terrible.
You did the impossible. You made it sound badass. Give Jules a medal everyone.....
Give him a metal
now Crazy Bus pls
yes please
THIS!
#triggered
He's already got it as a $1,250 goal. So, get more people to donate!
Clowns farting in a basement heavy metal edition sounds great, 9/7.
bruh when the metal came in that sounded fucking phenomenal tbh. Great work dude!
It's technically music!
I can't even imagine arranging something like this. Good job.
I can confidently say that this is as good as this composition is ever going to get. That speaks to both your talent as a guitarist and the song's exquisite badness.
This is actually incredibly impressive
I take that back. The second half made me realise that this is actually the best cover on RUclips
I don't care what anyone says, this actually must've been hard to sound intentionally dissonant. This is like Replay Part 2
WOW, this is actually really impressive! The original song is infamously godawful, and you managed to turn it into something listenable. I'm genuinely amazed.
FOUR PART DOOT ENSEMBLE
Stop! Don't open. That door.
Honestly I was afraid of you doing this since there's a big chance of embarassing yourself but I'm relieved you managed to nail it!
It sounds brilliant, adding a harmony over that cacophony was definetely not an easy task and I'm glad you did it.
Keep at it, senpai.
Delete all your other videos because this one puts them to shame
And they said it couldn't be done
This is, quite frankly, the most metal thing released since Metal Machine Music came out in 1975.
in 6000 years, when ancient aliens come back to earth to retrieve all the POD farms they left behind, this video will still be around to show them that humanity did something meaningful. good shit
Awesome. But just a thing, the game is actually "Director's cut Dual Shock" The first "Director's Cut" uses same music than the original game, not this.
This is one of those things I see people get wrong so often. I get it's a simple and honest mistake and I'm just nit-picking but yeah 😂
I love this, it's flaws are just so beautiful... And those major add9 chords where damn pleasant after all that wretched stuff.
Even after watching it a billion times I am still amazed at how much you were able to add to the original! This freaking rocks! \m/
This was fucking awesome! It's great to see you standing in your shots! It's also awesome to have a single cover again. Keep on kicking ass man.
people try to justify that the song is supposed to be weird and unsettling, but in actuality the man did not know how to write music. all of the other music was written by a different man.
WELL THAT'S JUST FUCKING TERRIFYING I'M SO SCARED (walks out and slams door)
Now I just need Crazy Bus title theme and my life will be complete
This song gave me cancer. Good job though.
From actual audio cancer to Nemesiszilla rising from the ocean.
11/10 best cover ever.
Holy.
Mother.
Fucking.
SHIT.
I can only imagine how hard this one was. I applaud thee.
For your valiance you shall be awarded with one delicious cookie of your choice.
What a masterpiece.
It's alright, I wasn't planning on sleeping ever again anyway.
Wow, really well done. Its so accurate
Transforming the sub par into the sublime. Well done sir!
Ace Waters did an amazing cover of this last year. It's such a weird tune. I honestly think it was done just so the composer could sell his lie about being deaf.
Oh gawd, this madman did it. o.o
You made it enjoyable! 🔥🔥🔥😎
Clowns headbanging in a basement mosh pit.
the sound is okward but atvthe same time it sound's awesome never though that it was possible to make an electicic guitar theme, and it was really good good job man u have my like
:)
Jules goes Blotted Science fyeah
This is GENIUS
You make this sound a little like "Red" by King Crimson! Excellent! Haha
You Jules!! You are The fucking good!
I didn't think it was possible to beat the original but you did it
When your having a midlife crisis but still act cool.
My entire life has led up to this.
Damn that was a freaky tune.
Happy Birthday, Jules!
It sounds like he forgot how to play guitar. Perfect.
Great Job Jules!
Well, that was something else. You made a corny scary song into something cool.
my brain couldnt comprehend this at all
Absolute madman
Today is a good day.
best version of that ive ever heard
Jules, i hope you plan on covering other pieces of classic Resident Evil. It has some of the most moody pieces of OST ya can found on the gamesphere. :D
Plus, i loved it. It's been some years that i listen to your work, and i must say that ya never lost your touch! Keep on rocking, dude!
Whoag that got crazy beautiful fast
masterpiece
This is awesome
i almost thought it was going to be the original soundtrack basement
This is legitimately impressive??? :O
now this is what I call a real rearrangement remaster enhancement.... you made sense of a melody rambling played by a 5 year old
New Dillinger Escape song sounds good
My ears are bleeding.... Success!! lol Great fuggin job, Jules!
top notch. ten outta ten
Totally headbanging to this!
I actually liked this! Wonderful!
im gonna just go ahead and jump on downstairs in the basement, and, I'm just gonna lie down. thats pretty much it. yep.
way to go! awesome!
That was actually hella badass.
Just. Wow.
Holy moly you uploaded a
Oh Jules, is awesome! :D I think you're great playing ^-^ I hope one day I can hear you play live
Sounds like Clowns shredding in the basement.
I'm paying for this.
Hasn't sunk in yet
Step 1: Melody. Step 2: Metal. Step 3: Profit.
hahaha I can only imagine how annoying it was to figure out the Melody.
It's been made good, well good compared to the original the guitar is a bit funky at times, but that kinda makes it sound better
Hey Jules! Haha, first Resident Evil cover and it had to be this one? Who needs Still Dawn or the RE3 ending eh? ;) Anyway, I'm about to begin a Let's Play of this very game coincidentally enough - would you mind if I used this to make a scene funnier at some point during it? Just thought I'd check first. Thanks man and keep up the amazing work!
I've always enjoyed ur videos. You're an awesome musician man. Keep on rockin!!! 4evr
RUclips recommended giving me some quality content for once
Damn dude it's like you put a grindcore lead in a metal song!
Incredible as always. I think it's safe to assume you sold your soul to the devil, yes?
you make sound it good.
Man, 1000 times better, but I still can't listen to this. It could almost be okay if approximately 15 billion trombones weren't playing at the same time.
this sounds pretty good xD
Fuck, this is amazing.
This actually makes the theme kinda scary sounding. Kinda.
Hey man, I have been following you for quite some time now and loving most of your work. You did a really great job and I really wish you can cover some The Witcher 3 ost as The Witcher 3 is by far has the best ost for recent game imo and really wanted to see your rendition. Anyway, Thank You and keep up the good work
Holy shit, this sounds super complex.
Awesome!! 🤩👌👌👌
Well done. You ought to do a cover of Ada's Groove (Ada theme) from Resident Evil 2.
This is Mansion Basement from Resident Evil: Director's Cut Dual Shock ver., not the original RE:DC
Dude, you made shit sound good
wow the video Jules
Rite of Spring
A true nightmare of a song.
great video
