I just bought this machine and I absolutely love it !!! Your review helped me make the decision to buy this machine over all the other ones on the market. Thank you for this honest review !!!
Having read the reviews i am on the fence about buying this machine. I currently have a Keurif which makes weak coffee but will try using the string butter feature. I just might go back to using my Mr Cofew drip cidfee makwe or get a Nespresso
To prevent dripping i eject the pod whilst cup still in situ and its stops, my drip tray rarely gets wet or dirty for this reason, love this machine though
My Nespesso machine packed after about 6 years. I've had this machine coming up for a week. Got this because there was an offer £79.99 for 200 pods and a "free" machine. My wife has said that the flavour of the pods, especially the XL are quite tasty. No worse than Nespesso pods. The lack of pre-heat is a tiny bit of annoyance compared to our old machine. You can't stop midway. Sometimes she may want to do another shot with the same pod just to add a bit more but then want to stop half way if the mug/cup is near full. It does leak a bit more than our older machine too. However it's about half the price that we paid 6 years a go! As long as it lasts 3 years, then I can't complain.
Interesting review. Thanks for sharing. Just bought this machine to replace the Nespresso that just stopped working. I've only had the unit for a couple of days, but noticed right away that it does tend to drip, and is, IMHO, not as robust as the Nespresso. Two questions. Where do you get your xxl pods? I've never seen them in the shops. Did your machine have a metallic taste at the beginning?
Hi there. Thanks, to answer your questions, I did have a metallic taste but literally only the first couple of coffees and it settled, not long enough to worry, for me. As for pods I got them off Amazon. They do a box of official xxl’s. 56p per pod but that does make 2 cups.
Hello Robyn, This would be fine. Literally out of the box all you need to do is put a pod in, close the flap and press one button. You CAN change it if you need too, but Id be happy without having to do that, so think this would be fine.
It’s in the manual and off the top of my head (I don’t use this machine any more). You just hold the button down til you have your desired amount then let go and it remembers it
It’s designed to fit 2 cops. Many latest espresso machins now accomodate this to give people choice, as much as Nespresso wants to be an “espresso” machine, it’s not, it’s more for larger based milk drinks. If you want a decent espresso, you don’t go Nespresso.
This machine is rubbish. 5 months old and regularly descaled, yet it no longer dispenses the correct amount of coffee and is only warm when finished. Will be on the phone to l'or in the morning to demand a refund as not fit for service.

Glad it helped. Good machine this amd surprisingly one of the cheapest!!
I put a slice of folded kitchen towel under my coffee machine after making coffee on the drip tray it catches all them annoying drips :)
Why not use shot glasses and pour into preferred mug? Can also leave them there to catch the drips after use??
Oh absolutely I could but I just want convenience and speed.
To stop the dripping, flip the top up as soon as finished. It'll end up in the bottom part out of sight.
Having had both the Lor and the nespresso machine, the nespresso machine makes better more creamy coffee and the Lor is a little more watery
No way
I really want this machine . But heard some bad reviews about it 😢

I have moved to Nespresso for a few reasons (not that the machine is bad, its great). I use the Grind One machine now
Love the 🐝 mug of your wife, by the way 😀

Good to know 👍🏻

What do you mean by programme it? And how do you do that?
It’s in the manual. Basically adjust how much water comes out for a shot.
@@TheCoffeePodChannel Will take a look. Thanks.
Hi I’ve always had Nespresso machines and I’m scared to change however this looks easy for a 80 year old to use what do you think
Cheers

I just have a question about the lever ..how does it feel .. ‘plasticy’ or sturdy ?
It’s definitely sturdy feeling.
Good and enthusiastic review. Well explained. Thanks! What did you think of the temperature? Is it the same as a Nespresso machine or less?
It’s as hot as any other I’ve used 👍🏻
what is that power source you are using?
Inbuilt plug extension.
How do you program your machine for more water
It’s in the manual and off the top of my head (I don’t use this machine any more). You just hold the button down til you have your desired amount then let go and it remembers it
Just out of interest, which machine do you use now?@@TheCoffeePodChannel

Who wants a massive cop in a espresso mashine seriously? And you trying to fit two at the same. 🤣

Shame yours is no good. Good luck with the refund. I’ve dealt with l’or and they take some pestering.
@TheCoffeePodChannel ohhhh not good on there customer service then that's sad might be a deal breaker for me
