I just drank the Kool-Aid and bought one of these at Costco in NY; they're on sale for $80 until Christmas Day. Also, it came in stainless which should eliminate some of the problems with the ceramic coating; we'll see. I got mine YESTERDAY and I'm very grateful for all your tips!

I bought the Outin a while back... Question, do the Brevoy double shot baskets fit on the Outin? Im looking at the Brevoy double shot bulk 4 x basket deal on amazon and would like to have 4 x pre-filled baskets on my day trips.

The thing that Brevoy has leftover water in the reservoir is really a big pro. Why? Because this will help the pump to last longer than the Outing - pumps do not like to run dry (they are lubricated by the liquid they pump). Did this reason alone I would pick Brevoy over the Outin. Thank you for pointing on this!

I just ordered one and was kind of skeptical but I always go back to my cup and the darn coffee got cold on me. So I ordered it taking a chance. Can i make a coffee using a small pod but using the double quantity of water like you would with the XXL pod?

The biggest issue with this is how it’s turned on. You have to unplug or turn off and on at the switch. If you forget and put a pod in then it’s a pod wasted. Done it once and hope I don’t do it again

Is this just a mug that keep your coffee hot? Because YETI does basically the same thing without having to charge it and for 20% of the price.

Having read the reviews i am on the fence about buying this machine. I currently have a Keurif which makes weak coffee but will try using the string butter feature. I just might go back to using my Mr Cofew drip cidfee makwe or get a Nespresso

I've been looking for a stand for a while. I bought one off Amazon with solid reviews, but there was no room to fit a cup (much less a cup and a scale) underneath. Unfortunately the stand you've shown in this video no longer seems to be available on their website.

Lots of measurements there, but you neglected to state the height including the pod handle. I'm concerned that it won't fit on the workspace under wall-mounted cabinets

Thanks for the comparison. I had Outin nano for a year now, brew more than 500 grind espresso shots with it with purring water hot water in. I have the Outin Single Shot(6.5 gram) and a Basket plus (18 gram) but not quite satisfy with the dosage. In your clip I figure that Extraction cup can be use alternately (practically the same) is it? If the Thred and extraction cup is same size. If so, I wonder if the Double Shot filter cup of Brevoy works with Outin nano and how much dosage can it hold. Also the Basket Plus of Outin Nano could also work with Brevoy then. If so you would have Single, Double, Tripple Shots with Both machines.

Outin just ordered Nary a bad review out there and they are all unpaid reviews which is always nice to see I ordered one today but also ordered the "Nano Basket Plus" which gives you a 15g - 18g ground coffee option and that whole kit is also food grade stainless steel Cannot wait to try it out 👊👊💥💥👊👊

I’ve appreciated Coffee pods well done description here on ember. I’ve had a “few”. I can no longer have coffee without. Yet my complaints have been one that is major to me which is when the charger stops working because one of those little pins on the charger sinks - suddenly it’s recessing and it’s not always a successful task in retracting them back. Ember has amazing loyal customer service which has replaced one and the other two I purchased via Amazon overnight delivery being I couldn’t wait or make time for actual correspondence like normal people do. Well today it happened again. I came across you guys because I’m now considering the competitor to ember which btw is not much less - so bring the little difference in price point which currently has a lavender ( yay) ember on sale I may break down again. Then again that darn charger poses a concern. Also FYI I’ve had a white one and a red one - I drink coffee black with no additive to stir. I wash with dawn dishwashing liquid and a microfiber cloth , I’ve tried soaking overnight. Coffee and tea stains appear and love to show off on any surface over time. I suppose we can live with them. As my mom would say “ahhh at least the stains are clean”. Still didn’t help her ocd daughter - it drives me nuts to not see a perfectly like new cup. However a word of advice- with my first ember received 7 years ago I did try more abrasive cleansers - YES I know it says all over the included literature to not do that. Ok I know now. After I’d say not long maybe a few months of daily use I noticed the actual color changing on the inside - tea and coffee stains removed - why not when a douse of bon ami and even comet ( bleach) have been used). Instead these stains appeared to be not stains but a discoloration revealing the underlying surface coat beneath the white ceramic which meant I was essentially removing an integral part of this mug maybe even posing a toxic effect onto my self- couldn’t take a chance. And for that reason I discarded that cup which was quite sad and with newer embers I simply deal with stains. Perhaps using stainless / metal utensils can contribute however I believe you’d have to really scrape stir and not gently stir. 😅😂 Hope you all enjoy your ember and you will not allow my personal stories to deter you from being a future EmberBrite 😅😊😂😊

Thanks for this comparison! I backed the Brevoy on KickStarter rather than buying the Outin because it can do double shots without buying any upgrades. This came in handy on a week-long road trip where I woild pre-grind three double baskets of coffee in the morning to save myself from bad gas station coffee.

Do you think Brevoy has copied the design of Outin?

Thank you very much for the detailed review. They seem so similar. I'm very surprised on the brew temperature however. That kind of difference should taste quite different. I can usually tell when I brew at different temperatures.

I got outin today cant wait to try it out

I have a coffee machine that doesn't pour that hot of a coffee and I am wondering if this cup is going to solve the issue. Does it heat quickly if the drink is a bit warm? I usually drink my coffee immediately after I make it since it usually is cold enough and I have gotten used to that, so I hope this doesn't take too long to heat the coffee in it.

Just about yo buy one of these for my motorhome, yes you can buy bosch for a bit more money BUT the coffees are just TOO sweet, great review thanks, ps love the red cable on these

Until they fix the thermostat it's a big no! Unless you like sour espresso or use super dark roasts I'd avoid heavily!

@TheCoffeePodChannel Thanks for the comparison - really interesting. I got the Brevoy as a Kickstarter so it was quite a bit cheaper vs Outin so pleased to see the differences are marginal. Point of interest, I get very little water left in top - only a few drops (more like your Outin results) and not like what you're seeing (?) Loving the videos - keep them coming 👍

Great video! Does anyone know if this Will Work with stainless steel re-usable Nespresso pods? Having plastic and aluminium being heated up does not feel great in the long run.
