Great review, I’ve had a robot before but had not heard of the in floor system until a couple years ago

Great job! Very well done. I am surprised the company isn’t doing more to help you! If it were me, I’d never purchase that system!

I’m sorry the In-floor System didn’t work as should. I recently built a tiny 10.000 m3 pool and since then I daydream about something to converge dirty floor particles to the main drain. I thought it would contemplate my willings, but….

Maybe an in-floor system could work for a smaller pool, but after my experience, I would definitely not go that route. Just get a robot, does not have to be this one, any good rated robot and you will be happy. I use my every day, sometimes more than once :-) My oaks in the backyard just changed leaves (Feb-March is when the foliage happens in Florida). I can't imagine what I would have done without it! I am actually looking for a robot that can skim the surface but have not found one yet.

Thanks for this video. I don't have a robot cleaner, yet, but can wholeheartedly agree that the in-floor cleaning system is not worth the money. Mine is not effective, as was also your result, plus the valves have to be manipulated to achieve the necessary pressure to operate the cleaning heads. This in itself is extremely annoying since it prohibits me from operating spa overflows properly to achieve the pleasure of that "trickling water" sound while the pump is running. I either have to position the valves to achieve spa overflow or prohibit overflow in order to get the cleaning heads to function....... stupid design (partly my fault I guess....)

I agree 100% with you. The moment you start diverting pressure to your spa, the performance of the in-floor cleaning system deteriorates even more!

New robot is needed every 5-6 years, dolphin swivel is poorly designed. And requires new cable after some time, but is repairable. New dolphins much easier to clean.

Your surroundings look exactly like mine, I know from experience the leafs you threw in are just a fraction of reality. With that been said, the first time the dolphin runs seems as it’s a bit slow trying to map a pattern for the first time. It’s clear the dolphin vac was full of debree and some was stuck in the openings, it timed out after 3 hours, if you would’ve ran it again you thing it would’ve cleaned it out completely without cleaning out the debree ?? I am in the fence to buy the dolphin… let me know ur thoughts

This is our first year in Florida and I filmed during fall when the leaf situation is very manageable. It is now March, and during February-March is when the oak trees loose all their leaves. This was a surprise for me but you are absolutely correct that I now clean out probably 3-4 buckets of leaves per day, maybe more! Some days I ran the robot 3-4 times as it literally just rains leaves outside! And this is on top of skimming the leaves from the top 3-4 times a day because a lot of stuff still manages to fall to the bottom. And yes, I usually (not always) clean the robot after each run because if I don't it becomes useless. Having said that, I don't regret buying it. On the contrary, it has been a great help. Still, for next year I am thinking of installing some kind of temporary cover over the pool just for the months of Feb-March as cleaning the leaves becomes pretty much a full time job and I want to avoid it!

This year alone has been horrible, been searching the internet to see if I find a similar situation as mine, I also don’t want a screen enclosure not to mention is an arm and a leg… also the problem tags along with the cost of chemicals to add in the pool due to leaves falling in… seems as in the robotic vacuums this is the better vaccum… let me know what cover u decide to go with, I also was thinking about installing the rectuangular/ triangular sun shades u often see in parks and try to put them in the area where the tree shed the most as one side is worst…

New dolphin with top mounted basket much easier to clean and is about $1k. I opened my pool in nj, ND dolphin and pH adjustment to neutral got pool clean in. Record time. I also have lots of leaves and muck from winter.
