    Killer track! I really dig the aesthetics of this guitar. Pickups sound pretty decent too. Great demo and I dig the format (breaking up tie spins examples). Great ideas

    Hey Gary these guitars are amazingly good, you're absolutely right! They do feel exactly like a custom build too! Schecter nailed the necks on these 100%, even the finish and feel too!!! I've got the SVSS Green Reign and it's now one of my top 3 guitars out of 11. It took me a bit to figure out how to re-string a Floyd Rose but OMG so worth it! These aren't just 80's type rippers either ;).

    Hey man Im trying to get my first electric guitar, I like bands such as insomnium, Epica, Nightwish, Trivium, Kamelot. Do you recommend this guitar or something else? For example Hell raiser c1?

    • @buckeyeburl0162
      @buckeyeburl0162 Год назад +1

      Don't get a guitar with a floyd bridge if it's your first guitar.

    • @GerryTrevino
      @GerryTrevino  Год назад

      I'd agree with @buckeyeburl0162 on that one, a floyd rose can be cumbersome for beginners. The Sun Valley is great for rock and 80's tones, but if you're trying to go for more metal, I'd try a Hellraiser or a Reaper. I did a demo for a Reaper-6 FR, but they sell hard tail version of that guitar too! ruclips.net/video/gPBkz7v5yzs/видео.html

    • @GerryTrevino
      @GerryTrevino  7 месяцев назад

      THIS for sure!

    • @FastRedPonyCar
      @FastRedPonyCar 7 месяцев назад

      @@GerryTrevino LOL I ended up finding a used SVSS exotic Ziricote on reverb for about 900 bucks. I've had my San Dimas for nearly 10 years and all I've done is drop a Gotoh 1996 floyd and some different duncan pickups in there and it's been an absolute BEAST of a work horse guitar. I bought it new for $700 and at $1000 new now, I don't think it's worth that price.
      The schecter have a more comfortable neck joint, 24 frets and slightly better tremolo. The Promod dk 24 charvel is about what the Schecter exotics cost but no stainless frets and no cool exotic woods
      I still think a used Prestige would be an awesome instrument and a coin toss vs the Schecter for sure but you'd have to buy used to get the RG for what the Schecter's run new.
      I had a prestige 7 a few years back and it was an awesome guitar.

    Cant decide between this and schecter reaper-6 fr-s

    • @fhrehirk
      @fhrehirk 11 месяцев назад +1

      Very good review 👍
      I own the two : a reaper 6 with a hardtail and the super shredder and i like them both.
      I find the super shredder more comfortable (the neck is awesome) and the emg's are perfect.
      The reaper look more agressive and beautiful and the sound is more versatile and modern 👍

    • @GerryTrevino
      @GerryTrevino  10 месяцев назад +1

      Both are lovely! I have a Reaper-6 FR and the neck on that is a bit slimmer if you're into that and the pickups on the reaper are a little more versatile than the EMG's i find. The EMG's are cool, but they're kind of a one-trick-pony for me. I suggest trying out both if you can! thanks for watching, if you liked this consider checking out my solo EP: li.sten.to/TnIWX1e

    11:30 He finally gets around to letting you hear the actual guitar. I don't care how much gain you play - evaluation starts with the clean tone. And I mean clean - not 'this was hot rodded back in 1983, but in today's metal we call this clean'

    The FR special saddles are crap. Replace them with an upgraded FR or buy stainless steel saddles. They will strip out by one or two string changes. If upgrading to better FR, you'll need a 32mm fat brass block.
