Thank you so much. I’ve been suicidal, I️ was in patient hospitalized for depression, suicidal attempts and thoughts, and self mutilation. One day, the nurse bought in this little radio. It was on an Alt rock channel. This song came on. I️ had heard it once before, when my friend was suicidal and this song bought me to tears then. It still does now. This song gave me motivation to keep fighting and to get medication. Thank you. I️ am seeing you all live December Sixth. I️ love ya’ll, and thanks for saving me.

Reasons why you should stay alive.
1. We would miss you.
2. It's not worth the regret. Either by yourself if you failed or just simply left scars, or the regret everyone else feels by not doing enough to help you.
3. It does get better. Believe it or not it will eventually get better. Sometimes you have to go through the storm to get to the rainbow.
4. There's so much you would miss out on doing.
5. There is always a reason to live. It might not be clear right now, but it is always there.
6. So many people care, and it would hurt them if you hurt yourself.
7. You ARE worth it. Don't let anyone, especially yourself, tell you otherwise.
8. You are amazing.
9. A time will come, once you've battled the toughest times of your life and are in ease once again, where you will be so glad that you decided to keep on living. You will emerge stronger from this all, and won't regret your choice to carry on with life. Because things always get better.

I love sleeping with sirens so much, they should know how much lives they saved
I remember being in middle school listening to all of these songs and albums, honest I was really depressed and hated being called "emo" or whatever but tbh this music still hits I am coming across old playlist and its crazy nostalgic. Like its insane to me how much this music and these songs bring back and how much emotion they evoke for me. I remember putting everything i had into these songs. They were all I had for so long. These bands feel like home to me. Its kind of bittersweet i guess

Wow getting a notification from this comment and revisiting this song was crazy. Some of these replies are really hopeless and sad, so I feel the need to give a little life update: In two years I've pulled myself out of depression almost entirely. I still have bad days or hopeless days, but my life has infinitely improved, and I can genuinely say that I'm happy now. If I travelled back in time and told my old self how happy I am, I never would have believed it, but here I am. I am living proof that life can change, and that it's always worth living through the bad times so that you can one day see the good as well. So please, if you're reading this, realize that even though life may seem hopeless and terrible right now, that it can always get better. As long as you work towards change, work to get out of destructive habits, and try your best to love yourself, no matter how hard it can be. If I had given up, I never would have been able to live to experience all the positive changes that happened in my life. Please don't let the depression, or any other mental illness, win. Please stay strong, and keep your eyes on the future. As long as you try your best, things will get better.

I've had to deal with so much in my life and have had those dark thoughts. I've fought my own brain with feeling unworthy. Thought I had left that behind but recent events in my life have brought back some episodes of depression and anxiety. But back then and even today, the thing that always stopped me was the love of those around me.
Tell the people in your life that you love them. That they are beautiful. And that being imperfect does not make them unworthy.
And to those of you with these thoughts... being afraid doesn't make you a coward. One of the hardest things in this world may be to tell someone that you need help. But choosing to keep up that fight, to reach out- that makes you BRAVE. Don't give up. Sometimes all we need is a guiding hand to help us overcome ourselves.

People can say what they will about the dark music only makes depression worse, but for some of us, it saves lives. I’m one of these people. Sometimes you need to know you’re not in the darkness alone. If you can’t see anyone else, sometimes hearing them is enough to make you reach out. For anyone in this place remember, even if you can’t see, or hear, anyone else who’s going through the same thing, close your eyes, and reach out and feel even if they’re not close enough to touch, you’ll be able to feel them. There’s always someone else in the darkness with you just waiting for you to reach out so you can climb back out together.

Well... I just want to say that I'm grateful for you guys to exist. This s going to sound so cliche, but it's the truth. I was really considering suicide some time ago, during a "suicide sunday" (altough it was not sunday). Listening to this music and "Kick me, I felt that I was finnaly accepted by someone and that, no matter what, I could keep some of my dreams, better to give them up dying. I've been apart of this fandom since 2011 and I went through that fangirl stage when I was younger but I hope you guys realize there are more members to the band then just Kellin. JACK, JUSTIN, ALEX, NICK, and GABE. As talented as he may be he can't play all the instruments at once. I love you guys a lot but can you please acknowledge the other members? it's like doing the same amount of work as everyone else in a group project and the person who's name is 1st on the paper gets all the credit.

I love this song... it describes how I felt seven months ago... no one really understood it. I just snorted another line and smoked another bowl of weed and kept plotting how to die... I then went to treatment and I feel so much better... I picked myself up off the floor by myself... my friends weren't there the drugs weren't my own family wasnt... my music was, it was me and my music.... sleeping with sirens, pierce the veil, all time low, my chemical romance, suicide silence, and sounds like harmony they were they were there the entire time.... I will always remember those bands and what they did to help me through those really horriable days and months in my life where I found out a lot about life

Last year around the same time I was in the roughest point of my life. I was extremely suicidal and self harmed constantly. This was a song I listened to almost every moment of the day. I was really loosing hope and I had enough of the pain.
Now I'm better that I have ever been. I still have self harm problems but I haven't had suicidal thoughts or attempts. This song has helped me so so much.
Whoever needs to hear this; it will get better I promise you. You just need to keep fighting.

to anyone feeling this way, IT GETS BETTER. i know you dont believe me, neither did i. i almost died about 5 months and a week ago and if me then could look 6 months into the future, i know i wouldve tried to keep fighting to see the day where i'm at today. It doesnt mean i dont still have mental illness, it doesnt mean its easy, or that it wont get worse before it gets better, or that after you've won the initial fight that there won't be possible trauma or that it wont be really hard to feel like a person again and to move on from the experience, but i can promise it's worth the fight, it really is because you never know what could happen to maybe change things for the better, i was completely hopeless and had no idea things would ever get better, i promise its worth it to stick around and see
