Excellent video Justin of a lesser known district of Bangkok. My wife is there at the moment buying silver for our shop in England . We have been buying from the traders in Bangrak for almost 20 years so fabulous to learn more of the history of the area.
That was the coolest and most informative video of the Bankok trade I have ever seen!!! Well done Justin👏👏👏 Its been 21 years since I was last in Bankok and after watching your video I'm chomping at the bit to get back! Get that needle in my arm cause I can't wait 😆
Great info sir . Really helps a lot as to gem locations and other info as to lapidary needs . All in one stop shop. Really amazing transformation of Thailand gem hub. Interesting topics.
Very Nice. I'd love to go there .. especially when it's Minus however many degrees below zero here. I wonder if one could purchase a pile of nice rough stones to bring back and actually save anything ? (not incl the price of the flight).
No forget about that. The selection of rough here is weak. I never buy rough here and still have to take my yearly pilgrimage to Tucson to Rough. It’s easy to find quartz and topaz but any nice rough that isn’t tiny and is clean and colorful will not easily be found here and when it is the parcels are so big that you can’t afford it. It’s a bummer and one of the shocks I got when I’d been here for a while.
Great entertaining treasure trove video! As much as i would like to go there myself... I am the type of person that could be totally overwhelmed ending up in some semi-comatose state sweltering in the intense heat..lol ... I am trying to figure out the best way to store some wealth in rough/preformed/final cut loose gems (not interested in jewelry per se) ...Due to the vastness and corruptions in this market (like any market), relying/paying good natured virtuous experts like you is probably the way to go (vs. trial and error, figuring things out on my own)...
I’m not totally sure that storing wealth in gems is a good idea unless you have a business established in selling gems. I think gold is easier for the casual investor as you can easily sell gold at any gold shop in the world as the price fluctuates. Gems are not so easy to sell unless you are investing like $500k+ in amazing rubies and emeralds.
Your video help me since I am about expend my market from local Myanmar to Bangkok as a gems Trader. Thanks much. could you upload a video how to sell a gems stones if possible 😊
Aloha Justin - your videos are so well done! Your editing and photography are top notch. It’s a great thing for the gem trade.

Hi
Can I buy one or two gemstons or wholesale only?
Almost nothing is wholesale in bangkok except some shops that sell premade .925 silver stuff. Buy one or two, it’s fine!
