  • This is very first video in pronunciation course. In this video, we will learn English Phonetics, alphabet and English sounds. If you're a beginner, make sure watching to the end to completely attain very fundamental knowledge.
    There are 26 letters in the English Alphabet: 0:40
    There are 44 sounds in English: 1:42
    12 vowels: 2:00
    8 diphthongs: 4:40
    24 consonants: 6:32
    Notes: 13:00

    There are two models of English pronunciation employed in this video: General American (GA) dan Received Pronunciation (RP). Only one model of pronunciation should have been chosen. For beginners, they will be confused to follow this lesson.

    At the end of the day, words in English are similar to Chinese Characters: by merely looking at one you have little or no information about how to pronounce it. 😔

      Little? Almost every Chinese character in context of the Chinese language has only 1 reading. Japanese differs tho

    Thank you but I think I found some mistakes the speaker introduces a sound and the example word represents a different one like fast and walk check their pronunciation it must be in British to match with the sound
