Dear Sadguru Ji. I’m a Buddhist but I have a special place in my heart for Shiv Ji. I’m not from India either. However, in one of you RUclips videos I learnt about mahakaleshwar temple. Last year I went to India for a tour and it so happen I was there there on mahadev rathri day 21 March 20. With so much of miracle I was able to participate the early morning 4am bhasmarthi ceremony. As you said it was phenomenal and I still feel that love and vibration in me. I was so lucky that was able visit 4 shiv temples on 12 jothirlingams . Thank you for guiding me.

I am not sadhguru but read the "death" book of sadhguru that may help, ashes should be gone back to 5 elements, to the very source of life where it came from, it's really not a good thing to keep ashes and bones of a dead one, not only for you but also not good for one who is gone.

When kaal is time slot , mahakaal should be bigger time slot. The watch cycles forward , time passes by itself , watch does not destroy days/ months/ time. Then , why mahakaal is called destroyer . As i look at it , the tandav is very rythmical , full of energy . If God gets angry , how he will open his third eye is a question to be thought over. It may be destroyer of evil , but, then, why weak hearted should not go there? Actually many say , that if one is weak hearted or fearful , he/ she should remember shiva. Heard about saadhaks sit in cremation ground to find him there but never heard shiva smeared with ashes. Now a days , lots of confusion even in hindus . They divide a land and look for God in sky . Why make God so horrible that people fear to go to temple ? And , then, there is saying that god is love ! Very difficult to understand the contrasts developed over centuries .
