I bought a Kindle Oasis in 2020 and I really love it, especially with the buttons to change page. But when I see what Kobo is offering, Kobo is so far ahead - colour, flexibility of where you can get books from, writing inside the book and having notebooks, water resistance, the list goes on. Now having seen the latest kindle releases, I'm also not confident in having something at this level from Kindle anytime soon. Your video really convinced me to make the switch 😊
I genuinely thought this would have more views, omg. I loved this video so much! I’ve been looking for E readers recently and this helped clear so much up. Thank you for making this!
@@ItsCooltoPlayBass thank you so much for watching and leaving a kind comment! I hope you choose an e-reader that you are happy with. 😁 they’re awesome! Happy reading. 📚
Audiobooks are unavailable on the Canadian Kindles because they have crippled the Bluetooth on Canadian Kindles. I love the page advance buttons. When I set up the top button to turn the page forward, it falls perfectly into my hand. Kobo offer a case with a front cover to protect the screen when closed. This case has the word “notebook” in the description. Your channel gets five extra bonus points because your dog is a part of the channel. I love the squeak toy noises, and you will NEVER have to apologize for them. Thanks for a very complete and informative video.
Love the in depth video it was very informative even though i already have a kobo libra colour. Sadly, you can't read magazines from Libby on a Kobo Libra Color because Kobo devices don't support magazines from Libby. I also was shocked to find out you can't listen to audiobooks from libby either.
Love this, a review from someone that use it for it's intended purpose and use it a lot from what i can tell. Appreciate it! I will keep my eyes peeled in the upcoming black Friday.
Great little video, btw you have the most amazing eyes, but anyway been waiting for my Kobo for delivery for the last two weeks, does it normally take that long ?
@@stuartgifford8672 thank you! And that does seem like a long time. I believe mine shipped within a couple days. I’d keep an eye on it.. if it doesn’t ship soon, maybe try another seller! @@fatema8819 that makes total sense! I didn’t realize that about Kindle. I mean honestly, you don’t need colour for much on an ereader unless you read a lot of comics. It’s fun to have but certainly not a necessity.
@@alibrarybythesea it’s really neat! I just downloaded the tracker template on Etsy and then plugged my kobo into my computer. You basically just drag and drop the template onto your kobo file on your computer! Super easy. The artists also supply import instructions when you purchase.
Thinking about switching from Kindle to Kobo because I love the Libra Color... and VERY disappointed with the Kindle options that just came out. I have the Kindle Oasis, I borrow library books but once the book goes back, so do the notes! So I export my highlights/notes in an email to myself before I return the book. I have not seen if there is any way to do this with Kobo- have you found anything to share notes?
@@dianabarrick5356 I did test this! In my experience so far, any notes or annotating I do on a library book is still there after I return it. So if I borrow it again, the notes will still be on the book as I left them. Hopefully this answers your question.
Heyy! I’ve been meaning to buy this ereader and I also read a lot from the library, so I was wondering for borrowed overdrive books if the highlights/annotations get saved anywhere? Because sometimes I borrow books, don’t read them in time, they get returned and if I borrow them again, it would be lovely to have my annotations/highlights from my 1st hold in there. Hopefully I explained it well 😅 Thank you so much for your in depth review!
Thanks for watching! Actually, yes! It's super awesome because the annotations and highlights get saved where you left them on the library book. SO if you annotate in an Overdrive library ebook, and then return it and borrow it again, all your annotations will still be there, right where you left them :) The Kobo is so friendly for library e-reading which I love because I also borrow heavily from the library!
