Heyyy Nurse Babes! ❤ Welcome back to another Vlogmas! Comment down below if you have more questions about Infusion Nursing, I’d love to hear your thoughts! ✌🏽
You go girl… I transitioned 6 months ago! I love it!!! Been searching for other RUclipsr but no one. It’s really a hidden gem… I’m focusing on chemo infusion and planning on getting my certification! 😅
Thank you! I love it so far, I pretty much work alone with a part time nurse occasionally. I also get to work from home on Mondays and Fridays if I want to work on like admin paperwork stuff! Oooo nice! I didn’t know there was a certification for it.
We are a rheumatology office mainly but we also have a few neurology patients for infusions. ☺️
That’s good lucky for me my cousin owns a med spa here in New Orleans.. but i still work bedside and I’m prn at the nursing home. But I’m an LPN i do chemical peels, Botox, iv hydration etc.
That’s exciting to have a close connection to someone who can help you grow more in aesthetics! Keep going! ☺️
I want this to be my soft nursing job one day. Or injections since I’m already a licensed esthetician
Yess girl! Definitely the soft life, I get to work from home too on Monday or Friday if I want extra hours or to just get admin office work completed. ☺️
Thank you for this Chelsea!! I’m about to graduate from an RN program and have 9+ years as an LVN but no experience as an RN. Would this impede my chances of getting hired an Infusion nurse? Thanks in advance! And Congratulations on your wedding! 💒🍾🥂
You are more than welcome! Oh, how exciting! Congratulations 🎊
I would say with infusion nursing, you MUST be experienced at starting IVs. If you don’t have a few years of consecutive successful IV starts, then you may not qualify for the role. The patient population I have thankfully have great veins, but I do have a few patients with port access (which LPNs definitely don’t access) and also patients who are difficult to start IVs on.
So, you definitely need to sharpen your IV starting skills before you can enter the realm of Infusion Nursing because that is the main part of your role. So definitely keep that in mind and work towards that in your RN experience! 😊
@@iamnursechelsea Got it thanks good to know! Appreciate the feedback
Of course! And thank you for the congratulations! 🥰
