Gen 2 typhlosion is broken. Flamethrower, earthquake, return, thunderpunch, flame wheel, all kinds of coverage and its insane.

Bruh, just go into Sprout Tower and farm Ghastly at night. Gives you the best EXP alltogether. I'll expect it taking less than 500 hours with animations turned off and all.

Probably a traded Pokémon as they are the only ones that'll become disobedient after a certain level. Any Pokémon you catch or are given to you, like the starters, will always obey the player no matter what level.
Anyone who's worth talking to understands that Cyndaquil is the best Johto starter
Depends on wich Johto game you’re playing. I’d say in HGSS Ice fang Feraligatr aka Dragonslayer is the best choice
Meh. It’s a reskin of Charizard (literally the exact same stats) without a flying type. It’s not that great. Doesn’t learn a ton of good moves outside of Fire type. I prefer Totodile in every Johto run I do
@@mozes6305 in the OG games, Croconaw and Feraligatr get Ice Punch via TM as early as before the third gym, so that point is moot. Besides, Croconaw gets Surf before the 4th gym, meanwhile Typhlosion is stuck with Flame Wheel or Fire Punch until level 60... or 54 if you don't evolve Quilava, which is still far from ideal. The only thing that Typhlosion can do that Feraligatr can't is using Fire Punch and Thunderpunch, and even then you can just use Ampharos or Magmar if you're playing Gold/Silver or soft reset for a Magby or Elekid Egg in Crystal and get basically the same result. Although Typhlosion is considerably stronger than all of those options apart from Ampharos and it frees up a Water type slot for Lapras, which gets Ice Beam at level 36 and Confuse Ray/Sing for some decent-ish utility. They're both decent picks.

Anyone who knows anything about pokemon knows its strategically disadvantageous to waste you starter choice on a water type because of the sheer number of area that are locked into only being water type for your 1 capture. So be smart choose chikorita like a champ

When I was 4 and playing this game I got my fraligator to level 50 or 60 before getting past the sudowodo because i didn’t know how 😅
Same thing happened to me in ruby, but the last gym ,i didnt know there was new hm dive and i was stuck with 7 badges for almost 6 months amd my sceptile got to lv 80

Cyndaquil was the very first one i ever pick and i like it for that reason also i like chikorita but i just dont care as much for totodile. I dont dislike it tho. I just dont care as much for it as the other 2.
