I mean season 4 was a downgrade but 1-3 were goated if Aaron macgruder came back and took his time with it especially with the new material of today’s society and I’d love to see them at teenage year or young adults.

Ed and Rummy are based on George W Bush and Donald Rumsfeld and the gas station robbery is a reference to Iraq I believe with the whole “weapons of mass destruction,” fiasco. Boondocks is easily the best show you’ve been reacting to lately, with Regular Show as a close 2nd

Boondocks #1! Love how the show is as critcal of White and African American culture in roughly equal measure. Superb satire that is sadly lacking today. Early seasons are easily the best, 1-3 especially. I suspect network interference stifled later episodes, would be next to impossible to get mafe today. Heck! They got Chalie Murphy and Samuel Jackson as cameos! Pure gold...

If you pay attention to the trends... It's South Park, Futurama, The Boondocks. Even King of The Hill.
The “riddles” are Donald Rumsfeld. The secretary of defense for the 2nd Bush.
He’s known for saying nonsense like “their are known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns.”😂
He came up with excuses to attack countries and call it “preemptive striking”.
And used the excuse that there were weapons of mass destruction even after they weren’t found.
In addition to justifying Abu Ghraib and saying the assaults against citizens of other countries were ok because “the military needed to let off some steam.”
Donald Rumsfeld basically did what Ed and Rummy do to the liquor store owner. Lie and says he has weapons so they can rob him. The fact that it’s being robbed by the descendant of the person who funded the store, makes this an even more perfect parallel.
When it comes to political satire he’s probably the most popular person to ridicule. He’s said a LOT of dumb stuff to justify illegal wars. Aaron refers to him frequently in this show.
Once you know who he is, you’ll see references to him frequently and be unable to forget. The jokes are all similar, but the absurdity of the quotes stops it from getting old.
There’s so much more hilarious Boondocks still to see.

Sam Jackson’s character Gin Rummy is a parody of Donald Rumsfeld who was the Secretary of Defense under George W. Bush (which is who Ed Wuncler the Third is making fun of). Rumsfeld literally made the nonsense argument about the absence of evidence not being evidence of absence with regards to weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

BOONDOCKS AND INVINCIBLE 🔥
This episode shows how useless the police and the vigilantes are in the Boondocks world. This episode also tackles issues of racial profiling and police incompetence. Ed and Rummy are so stupid that they couldn't catch a real criminal. The Freeman boys were able to ask questions and got answers, but it's too bad ed and rummy failed to catch the killer.
At the end, we see what the real killer looks like, he's nothing like Tom, shows that the police were very incompetent and try to put Tom in jail to just have an open and shut case instead of working.
At least Tom is suing them for wrongful arrested.
When get to it I don't know if you got the guts to do the band episode. The story of Jimmy rebel
