Thank you for all your recordings of sacred texts, Samaneri. They are a great source of guidance and inspiration for me. Can you please tell me from what translation you are reading? I would like to purchase it and want to make sure I get this translation. Thanks again!
@@monkeypill7815 Hi there, I actually read it from this source I found on this wonderful website. Here is the link: www.inner-quest.org/Vivekachudamani.htm
Dear Samaneri and monkeypill. May also suggest my favorite translation / transliteration of The VCM by John Grimes PhD. "Oh flowing stream of grace! I am shaken violently by the winds of a perverse fate. I do not know which way to turn. I am tormented by the unquenchable fire of samsara. The burns around me. I continually pray to you to calm me by the nectar of your grace"
Beyond caste, creed, family or lineage, That which is without name and form, beyond merit and demerit, That which is beyond space, time and sense-objects, You are that, God himself; Meditate this within yourself. ||Verse 254|| -Vivekachudamani, 8th Century AD[17]
Thank you for your wonderful recordings, they really help to absorb the grace- filled words. If possible, please record Asthavakra Gita, one version goes by the name ‘ The heart of awareness’. Thanks again,🙏
This is so wonderful. Your choice of texts is fantastic. I have been listening to them as I meditate and walk daily. They are an incredible aid. Have you ever thought about doing a recording of The Nectar Of Self Awareness (Amritabhunav) by Jnaneshwar Maharaj (Saint Dyaneshwar)?
Thanks for connecting Shane and lovely to hear that you are getting so much from these teachings. Also, I really appreciate it when people make suggestions for recordings so I shall research that teaching by Sri Jnaeshwar. The options are endless of course, so it's nice to receive tips and suggestions for some new and dynamic pearls of wisdom. Will look into as soon as I can. All the very best to you.
Hi, I already have. You can find Chapter 26 - seminal chapter and Parts 1 and 2 of the Essence of Ribhu Gita - a summary of the entire Gita - on my channel. All the best
As I understand, vedanta can be translated as end of knowledge, which can be taken to mean highest knowledge, or possibly also that which transcends knowledge. Looking further into the "not-two" it quickly becomes apparent that there is a point at which words and concepts can take one no further. This may be what the term advaita vedanta is pointing to, the absolute reality which transcends all else. I hope I haven't taken too much liberty in my musing and that it's somehow helpful.
Advaita Vedanta is the Wisdom of non-duality. While the literal meaning of Vedanta is end of knowledge, it actually signifies the highest wisdom. Listen to Swami Sarvapriyananda who lives in Manhattan and talks extensively about Advaita Vedanta. You can find tons of his videos on RUclips as well
The thing is that the closer one gets to the truth the more mind becomes quiet. The more mind becomes quiet or dissolves the more one realizes that mind was never there to begin with and one has never turned away from truth. It’s an illusion
The background music is too loud, and there is WAY too much reverb on the voice. Otherwise, a wonderful selection of readings, and good pacing by the reader.
Sankara, you crossed into my territory, you are telling me i am unreal? Do you know Sankara, you are the one who is unreal here? Why are you here? Have you lost your mind? I never crossed into Brahman and question the Brahman, real or unreal. I am not as suicidal as you.
For ease of access, my recordings can be found under the relevant headings in my Playlists tab - go to my Home page to find them.
Thank you so much, Samaneri!! All of your work is divine, and has helped so many of us, and continues to.

What is the music that starts at around 1 hour 1 minute?
Advaita - "not two" Vedanta "end of the vedas". Why are they distinctive and how are they related?

What is it that chose to turn from truth in ignorance and why has it never returned?

I love your recordings... but... please... for me many of them would be easier to concentrate on without the background music being so loud...
The background music is too loud, and there is WAY too much reverb on the voice. Otherwise, a wonderful selection of readings, and good pacing by the reader.

Losing mind???? I call it freeing the Mind then killing it.
