I was hoping to not be that one person who tried this method and say it didn't work. Unfortunately, this method didn't work on my sectional sofa. But I will keep the solution and see if it works on something else. Thanks for taking the time to me the video and provide good content. Follow your heart mind and it will lead you to your destiny.

How much of blue dawn. But thanks. I guess does it depend on the size of the sofa. Because dawn makes lots of suds. Let me know how much dawn. Thanks. Stay Blessed.

Do you know how this works to clean urine out of upholstery? I have a chair that an elderly person had an accident on and wondering if this would be a good option to get the smell out as well as the stain away??
Hi Sarah I’ve was told about this variation www.feathersinthewoods.com/2018/02/remove-cat-urine-smell-permanently.html?m=1 that works on cat urine. I would think it would work on human. I haven’t used it so I can say for sure. What have you got to lose.
Hi Stacy! I loved this video! I am about to use your method on a linen headboard. The curiosity is killing me though, what is the degreasing product you use from O'Reillys on clothes?? I have to try it! 😅 Thanks for the wonderful videos!
Hi Cari! I’m glad you like the video. The degreaser I buy is this one amzn.to/49OUnfN you can get it at O’Riely though. Just don’t use it on painted surfaces.
I was super excited for this to work but it didn’t take our denim transfer from a velvet chair. Any tips of something that could take that out? Or maybe I need to reapply …help pls 😀😀
Denim transfer? Like the dyes from a pair of jeans? That’s not a stain in that case. I don’t know how to remove dye without damaging the velvet unfortunately. You will have to look for a dye remover. I hope it comes out! 🥺
😔 I’m glad it worked a little but sad it didn’t get it all. Try to add a little baking soda to the mixture to make a paste. Let it sit and then try to scuba bit. They’re more clean up after but sometimes the paste works.
It could especially in direct sunlight. I’ve used it on a purple fabric covered chair and a navy sofa and there wasn’t any discoloring. I have not tried it on dark brown. I think if you rinse thoroughly you should be fine.
You guys! I tried getting a coffee stain out with vinegar, water and baking soda.. and while it lightened the stain I now have yellowing stains that are even bigger! So I’m terrified of flooding thr material on my couch! My couch is white. Will this solution work for the damage I did? Thank you!
Oh no! Vinegar isn’t the way to go for stains. It’s great for disinfecting and baking soda is great for scrubbing. I’m sorry that happened. I don’t know if that set the stain. I do know this cleaner removes coffee. I just used it on a cubicle wall that my predecessor spill coffee on. Took it out after two attempts. I guess at this point it can’t hurt to try.
So I have a question. My dog puked on my couch well when I went to treat it the stain came up but then left a ring where I treated the stain ..mind u my couch is very light. Like almost whitish grey. Oh crap I just realized I may have screwed up. I used some dawn platinum but it was on a tiny dollap on a wet rag
Looking forward to trying this recipe on my car seats upholster seats. I’m hoping that’ll work just as well on that 🤷♀️ assuming it’s the same thing I can use this kinda cleaner on
Of course, this stuff works on clothingcom, fabric is fabric. The only time it changes is if it’s silk or wool that is the fabric used for upholstery. Most clothing these days as well as upholstery is made from cotton and polyester.
There are a bunch. It’s called SuperClean here’s what the bottle looks like www.amazon.com/dp/B0039ZBLEC/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_C0AM1F8QY1DBT947N0NC?linkCode=ml2&tag=peonylanedesi-20 Just don’t use it on paint. It will strip paint right off. Works wonders on my stove.
What if I wanted to clean the whole chair? Not really for a stain just a stinky chair. My kids spill on the recliner a lot and I can’t get the smell out of this chair. It’s red so I can’t use bleach either.
It’s not really a deodorant. It’s a spot cleaner. You can try to clean the whole thing but I think you’re really wanting something like Lysol for fabric amzn.to/3XpGG3r I use the pet version of this for my dog be but you probably won’t need anything that heavy duty. I wouldn’t guess the kids are as stinky as the dog.
Hi ... do you think this will work for seats in the car ....I have black seats with weird white salt looking stains in the back....Thank you in advance
You can try it on an inconspicuous place first. I don’t know what that stain might be so I’m not sure if it will work. You don’t think the seat was bleached by something do you?
@@JunkinwithStacy it’s in Florida so not sure if it’s the humidity… Definitely not bleached…I tried awesome on it …it works temporarily, such as water n a little regular soap
Hey! I tried it and it worked but now the couch smells like peroxide lol its been 24 hrs, how do i get rid of the smell? Or will it go away on its own eventually? I have a get together in 2 days
I'm getting ready to try this but not too sure if it's going to work on mine. My SIL gave me a recliner that she's had in her garage for a year & it smells like a dog kennel! I've tried baking & vinegar letting it bubble & then scrubbing it....nope still there! Any other suggestions before I tackle it again?
@JunkinwithStacy do you have a suggestion for strong deodorizer? I was thinking the Dawn would wash the smell out of the fabric & they suggest using PH for removing cat urine (which isn't on the recliner but figured if it helped that)
@heathereanes7224 well Dawn does have a smell but if it smells like kennel it might not be enough. Products like odor ban work well and I like Lysol pet odor eliminator.
I have 8, yes EIGHT cats!! Cat puke and occasionally other cat nasty stuff is an ongoing issue. Thankfully, the carpet is long past doing too much to but I want any stains to be gone. This works well on the berber carpet. I also use a tablespoon of baking soda in the mix sometimes. Try it first in an area that you can hide...just in case. The soda mixed in combines with the peroxide and it foams up some, bringing up the dirty stuff. Anyway...yes, this is a great cleaner. I can't seem to keep it though because the peroxide goes flat and the oxygen bubbles soon stop doing as good a job so I just mix up small batches, when I need it. I have gotten up some pretty gnarly stains with this.
I used and upholstery cleaner on my dining room chair and it left life a water stain on my chair. Will your solution help get that stain out and not leave a stain??
Not sure. To avoid a water stain you have to clean the whole area and not do a spot clean. When you run errands make sure the whole seat cushion gets wet or you’re going to get a water spot. Try that with your existing cleaner and see if it fixes it.
I've tried getting the Dawn without Ultra but it is not to be found. I have looked EVERYWHERE....online, at the Dollar store, at supermarkets, big box stores, etc. Nowhere. Will the Dawn Ultra work? If not, where can I get it without Ultra???
I want to buy a vintage sofa from an antique store and it has a very large tea stain on it, I am hoping to bring the price way down but since its tea im not sure if ill be able to fix the stain.
Well it couldn’t hurt. I’ve used it on many different fabrics. Just remember to clean the whole area so it doesn’t leave another water stain. Yes I believe it will work. Let me know!
Can you do this on a darker color upholstery or will the peroxide bleach the dye of fabric out? I tried using baking soda and vinegar on my kitchen upholstered bench and it made it worse
I’m sorry to hear about the baking soda and vinegar. Try some on an inconspicuous spot to see. I don’t have any dark upholstery here or I’m sure i would have used it.
I have not had any loss of color on anything I’ve used it on. It it’s in direct sunlight I would worry about bleaching. Test it on the back if your sofa and see if there’s any dye removal if you want to be sure.
Thank you for your video. My dilemma is that I tried to clean a stain on an upholstered armchair with water. I should not have used water on this fabric and now I have a huge water stain. Any suggestions for getting a water stain out?
I have a little green machine from Bissell that I would use the stain remover with the machine and clean the whole surface. You can rent a carpet cleaner with the upholstery attachments if you don’t have one. It’s cheaper than replacing the whole thing. Alternatively if it’s on a cushion that comes off you can remove the fabric and soak the whole piece in cold water with a mild detergent, rinse and hang to dry. Do NOT run it through the dryer. It will shrink and you will never get it back on. Good luck!
Hi Anne Marie - this stain remover will work on clothing too. I sometimes mix it with baking soda into a paste and let it sit. But the one I talked about was the soak www.peonylanedesigns.com/how-to-remove-stains-on-fabric/
Hi Stacy and thanks for a great recipe for cleaning. I have to point out some important facts about hydrogen peroxide for you and your watchers. HP is very light sensitive. Upon exposure it's molecular structure will immediately start to break down, basically turning into water. { This is why you'll never find it sold in a clear bottle, but something that's solid or light blocking. } Another important fact is that HP isn't age stable, meaning, as time goes by, so does it's potency. This is why all bottles have an expiration date and why you found it at the dollar store. So DON'T make a big batch for later on. Always make up a fresh batch. { Another good idea is to cover it with a black trash bag to allow more time for the chemicals to work. } Even though HP is older then the exp. date....if kept in a cool dark place, in most cases it's still good... just weaker. Hope this helps ❣

WOW! This stuff is amazing! It managed to get an old cloth beige recliner clean, even removed dye from a red skittle! Thank you!
You’re welcome! It has save a lot of my furniture too. I’m glad it helped.
@JunkinwithStacy Awesome! Thank you so much, can't wait try it!
I just wanted to Thank you for your suggestions. It worked on one 🤗area but not on the other 😱😭
😔 I’m glad it worked a little but sad it didn’t get it all. Try to add a little baking soda to the mixture to make a paste. Let it sit and then try to scuba bit. They’re more clean up after but sometimes the paste works.
Reminds me of those mix baking soda with vinegar to make a powerful all natural cleaner.
Hi, would you say the peroxide work better than the white vinegar? I have microfiber dining chairs I need to clean.
Yes definitely.
thank you, my nephew is on a feeding tube and he pulls it out during feeding, and it leaks on my couch. will try this.
That poor baby. I hope this work for you.
Won't the peroxide have a bleaching effect on darker fabric? I have a brown couch and very nervous to try this...
It could especially in direct sunlight. I’ve used it on a purple fabric covered chair and a navy sofa and there wasn’t any discoloring. I have not tried it on dark brown. I think if you rinse thoroughly you should be fine.
Worked like a charm 🎉, thx
Excellent news! You’re welcome.
Cool, now how do you get the soap out without leaving new water stains?
Did you get a water stain?
Hi Stacy, will this solution be good for a white faux leather sofa?
I’m not sure. I’ve never tried it on faux leather.
It worked for my car when piece of fried chicken stained my seat! Thank YOUUUUUUUU!!!!!! ❤️
I’m so glad it worked!
Clean the remaining portion of the cushion around it and the spot should go away.
Hi Stacey... I bought a bench ottoman that had a stain on it and I use your method and it doesn't look like it's working 😩 Any advice???
Do you know what kind of stain it might be?
Looking forward to trying this recipe on my car seats upholster seats. I’m hoping that’ll work just as well on that 🤷♀️ assuming it’s the same thing I can use this kinda cleaner on
It works pretty much everywhere. My only concern on car seats is the Sun bleaching out the peroxide if it’s not rinsed.
thanks for the video! what's the degreaser from O'Reilly?
It’s called super clean. It will take paint off so use it carefully. Great on the stove though.
Hi, do you mean Dawn dish washing soap?
This is Dawn amzn.to/3BGKJMt
I’m totally gonna have to try this. I have a beautiful old chair that is just soooo dirty. Hope this works on textured fabric! 😅
Let me know what happens!
@@JunkinwithStacy it looks better! Hard to say how much better due to the pattern and texture of the fabric. But I’ll take any improvement. :)
Of course, this stuff works on clothingcom, fabric is fabric. The only time it changes is if it’s silk or wool that is the fabric used for upholstery. Most clothing these days as well as upholstery is made from cotton and polyester.
Yep it does. Thanks for checking in.
Stacy, which degreaser from OReilly’s were you talking about? I looked OReillys up There are a bunch of degreasers.
I hope do I get ink out of a fabric chair
Depends on the ink. Is it a ballpoint pen? Sometimes hairspray works. Or the laundry guy told me to use Amodex. It’s what he uses.
Thank you this worked amazingly on my white chaise that was dirty for so long!! 💖
I’m so glad it helped!
Love that hat and scarf
Thank you, Cassie!
Hey Stacy do you have a video on the OG degreaser?
No I don’t
Hi ... do you think this will work for seats in the car ....I have black seats with weird white salt looking stains in the back....Thank you in advance
What is the name of the stain remove for clothes?
I use this to remove stains on clothes too. For grease I use super clean amzn.to/3RjVe1q
I have a 3 piece lounge suite that has a lot of sweat stains on it. What is the best to use
You might want to rent a steam cleaner or have it professionally cleaned. This is a spot treatment.
Hey! I tried it and it worked but now the couch smells like peroxide lol its been 24 hrs, how do i get rid of the smell? Or will it go away on its own eventually? I have a get together in 2 days
I’ve never noticed a peroxide smell. Dawn has a smell and it will dissipate.
Well this isn’t a deodorant. It’s just a stain remover.
@JunkinwithStacy yeah I use lysol pet when cleaning my house...love the smell.
Didn't think about oboban
@heathereanes7224 sunlight and air is the next option. If it’s nice where you are gift it a good clean and let it sit in the sun for a bit.
I use baking soda when I have to scrub stuff like those slick winter coats.
@@JunkinwithStacy thanks
I have bottles of peroxide in my bathrooms and kitchen and dawn soap. Just need a spray bottle now.
You’re 75% of the way there!
I've tried getting the Dawn without Ultra but it is not to be found. I have looked EVERYWHERE....online, at the Dollar store, at supermarkets, big box stores, etc. Nowhere. Will the Dawn Ultra work? If not, where can I get it without Ultra???
Ultra should work but I’ve not tried it.
I want to buy a vintage sofa from an antique store and it has a very large tea stain on it, I am hoping to bring the price way down but since its tea im not sure if ill be able to fix the stain.
Good luck . I hope you can get the price down.
I just love your vibe, definitely a new subscriber!
Thank you. I’m glad you are here!
Can you clean silk upholstery with your recipe?
I don’t have any silk upholstery so I couldn’t say.
So did you put water in the bottle?
No there’s no water.
@@JunkinwithStacy ok it worked like a charm. I just cleaned my real dirty car seats.
Does this work for cat and dog urine stains on carpet and couch?
I’ve not tried it on urine stains. It couldn’t hurt to try.
Does it have to be dawn or can it be any dish soap? mine has orange action in it.
I’ve only ever used Dawn.
Can you just use dawn by itself?
It won’t work the same but you can.
Hi Stacy!! Would this work on a water stain inside a suitcase? Love it!
@JunkinwithStacy ok I will. The bench is light blue in material
Was looking for the answer in the comments with no luck.. I want to try this but really worried if it will remove the dye of the sofa ? *Burgundy 🤔
I have not had any loss of color on anything I’ve used it on. It it’s in direct sunlight I would worry about bleaching. Test it on the back if your sofa and see if there’s any dye removal if you want to be sure.
Looks like a lot of soap suds to get out, but maybe no more than commercial upholstery cleaner. Does the remaining soap attract dirt?
Nope. It doesn’t.
Thank you so much for this. If we don't have dawn, can we use any other dish soap?
I have only used dawn. It can’t hurt to try I guess but I would use something gentle. Do you have ivory soap?
@@JunkinwithStacy nope but I'll look for it and Dawn too
Would it work on cooking oil spilt on upholstery please.
I’m not sure but I couldn’t hurt to try.
Good luck!
@@JunkinwithStacy I sincerely appreciate you getting back to me, and so quickly. Great recommendation. I look forward to following you!
You’re so welcome! I just hope it comes out! Those darn water stains can be stubborn.
Can you please share the name of that degreaser you use for clothes?? Thank you
It’s called Super Clean amzn.to/3V0mG2S
Does it work with bleach stains? My daughter spilled some bleach on our sofa
No bleach removes all the color from fabric. You can’t fix that. You need to reupholster or repair the fabric in some other way.
WhatIs the stain remover for clothes especially white clothes that you talked about in the video
Hi Anne Marie - this stain remover will work on clothing too. I sometimes mix it with baking soda into a paste and let it sit. But the one I talked about was the soak www.peonylanedesigns.com/how-to-remove-stains-on-fabric/
your adorable and fun to watch! Thanks for the tip, gonna try it on my 2 second hand chairs. One is velvet and one is mircofiber. Here we go.....
Thank you 🙏🏻 my fingers are crossed for your chairs!
Do you not rinse?
If it’s a fabric that would be water stained by a spot treatment I would.
I'm going to try this on our couch. Does it also work on car seats? (I don't mean super premium car seats, just regular Hyundai car seat)
😂 My only concern with car seats is direct sunlight bleaching the peroxide. You would want to rinse it thoroughly.
