I do not know about the cpu. Your best bet is to search on forums and see what others managed to pun in the laptop. That is what I do before upgrades :)

i have this laptop. it wont play new games but it is perfect for internet even in 2019. thanks for the video. i like how this laptop is easy to open. i have a new model and u need to remove all the case and it is very hard compared to this one. i dont suggest upgrading this laptop too much. i saw them sold for very cheap and some have maybe the upgrades u look for and it might even cost less to buy the entire laptop.
It's a nice laptop. I really like the old school ThinkPads :)

Salut, iti urmaresc video-urile si am invatat destul de multe de la tine iar pe aceasta cale tin sa iti multumesc. Insa voiam sa te intreb daca nu era mai indicat ca in acest caz cand ai lucrat pe laptop sa ii fi scos bateria macar ca si o masura de prevenire.

Da, 100% ar fi trebuit scoasa bateria, dar uneori din graba sau oboseala mai gresesc si omit cate un pas :D
In mod normal nu ar trebui sa fie curent prin placa, decat in partea de alimentare, dar asta nu e ceva garantat si depinde de model si producator, deci nu ne putem baza pe asta mai ales cand e ceva atat de simplu de evitat.
Multumesc ca ai observat si o sa adaug informatia si in descrierea video-ului.

i had one with model i420 thinkpad. now it running window 10 core i3. ram8 and 512 storage. but when i playing video game still lags, so i want to ask what solution for that problem

The most important thing for games is the GPU. That can't be upgraded. Sadly for better gaming you need another laptop.
and still i can’t use sim cards data on this laptop (l420) when i put in nothing show. do i need to download other software for that?
Sorry, but no matter what CPU and how much RAM you put in this laptop, the integrated GPU is just not good for gaming.
But for other purposes this is a good laptop.
