Cochrane is a great city, we chose it 2 years ago as our home. It's a shame it wasn't prepared for its current growth. My biggest concern right now is about schools, we don't have plans to develop new schools. Meanwhile, our children have to live with crowded classrooms. Gentlemen responsible for education, invest in this sector in Cochrane it is becoming a nightmare.
Couldn't agree more - the rapid rise in immigration and growth in certain areas put stresses on existing infrastructure - hospitals, schools, etc. Unfortunately families get caught in the mix.
These days it's really hard to find totally unique architecture unless it's a multi-million dollar custom build. I love architecture, but for under $1M - most new building in suburban communities is similar. It's not bad - they have a lot of sq. ft., for affordable pricing, but also share a lot of similarities with their neighbours
Canadian housing market is crazy, this house won't last too long.....Come on guys, stop fanning the FOMO flames and making people (buyers) feel desperate and like it's their last chance to buy or own a home.
Well I actually am a bit worried that people that have kept waiting for the market to crash have watched home prices slip further out of reach. I also believe that pricing like this in a great community is slowly vanishing and almost unheard of in major Canadian cities - but... I agree - FOMO is not a good reason to purchase.
I literally have no idea how any single families can afford these houseing prices. Does everyone in Canada have a god damn trust fund or do ya'll just like being house broke?
A lot of families feel stretched, and its difficult. But still, in Canada we are one of the most affordable housing markets paired with the highest household median income.
Enjoy the construction of a new house 20 feet higher than your backyard happening right now!
Ah I see you've driven through neighborhoods before!

You didn't talk about the insane traffic and piss poor local government.
I wish they would make homes that arent cookie cutter. Every home looks like this.
