Absolutely incredible!!!! This is jaw-dropping, I watched this on a large projector, and it felt like I was watching a full blown movie. This film came out AMAZING, it was so exciting to watch!! My favorite part of this animation is definitely Einli. The real fabric clothing, the way Einli walks with the lantern/staff and uses it to light up the world around him, the expression in the faces, sounds, detail in the animation - just an instantly likeable and compelling character. The world you created is seamless, I'm in awe with how you made the rock walls and used shadow to create a fully complete world. I can't get enough of the practical lantern and how it lights up the stone. The designs work really well, especially contrasting with the bright, open expanse in the end. The use of color is also amazing, it really helps communicate the story visually. I can definitely feel some Bionicle DNA that went into this: the exploration of mysterious ancient ruins, to the release of a dark entity, the use of light, the design of the rocks around the plant, even Einli's face. This is really stop motion at its best. I hope tons of people get to see this, any professional stopmo animator would love this. I know Justin Rasch always like seeing other people's stop motion projects, he would love the physicality and practicality of this animation. Almost reminds me a bit of Phil Tippet's work in Mad God! This is an absolute masterclass of animation. I want to know more about this world, the inhabitants, and the story behind it. This is just simply incredible.
That was absolutely fantastic Mootroid. You can clearly tell how much time and effort was put into this from the character design, the mise en scene, the lighting... The animation itself was amazing but there was so much character in Einli's expressions and actions. Great work to the composers too, there was some really cool music. You did it... Einli is now a memorable character taking up space in my head.
It brings a smile to my face knowing that the title now says award-winning because I suggested for him to do that. I really hope this works and it brings more views in.
Now this, this is absolutely gorgeous. The lighting at the beginning gives off a dark, lonely mood, which is clearly it’s intention, Einli’s real, fabric clothing for that moves along with him and shifts, his emotions on his face that are so human like but not too human like, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for making this stunning animation Mootriod, this was such an amazing animation, I absolutely loved it!

Stellar film. I saw on twitter that this is Metroid inspired and I can see it. The lack of dialogue, the ambience, the isolation. That feeling of discovery, mystery, and sadness finding the remains of a civilization. The haunting sound track, exposition through body luangage and subtext. You absolutely nailed it, I feel so lucky to have seen this. I hope that once I'm finished with my studies I'll be able to put my heart into a work and produce something like this.
It’s fantastic man. The opening shot takes me there immediately. Cinematography is beautiful. Set design and animation style only furthers the story. I can’t imagine how long it all took. Was just talking to a film buddy about how many shorts feel the same. This is exceptional.
Outstanding, I can't image how long this took to make everything is expertly done. The lighting work is what I'm most impressed by since it's dark setting, yet you can still see everything clearly.
This is absolutely amazing. Einli is just so cute, and the setting and monster contrast that so well. The fact that he doesn't speak makes this film that much greater. If we were to get a second part of Einli's adventures instead of Last Colony 3, I would not complain.
Amazing job, fellow stop motion animator here. Love the visual storytelling with showing the character was just trying to get something to eat. Then instead going on an adventure to eventually discover a new land. Loved every second of this! Thank you for making this masterpiece a reality.

This was quite fantastic. This is going to be one of those videos on yt that gets like 20M views. Just u wait. This is the type of stuff that takes the spotlight. The set design was phenomenal and the story felt mysterious and illusive. I didn't know what direction the story was going in, and that rlly made me want to watch it all the more. Solid 11/10 Stars. 👌👌👌 (Ngl im disappointed it's over, but thats just how im left when I watch ANY of your videos, so nothing new...)
thank you so much dude and yeah, it took almost two years of hard work to finish- i'm currently in the process of uploading some behind-the-scenes videos about what went into it
Charlie this came out AMAZING. Seeing it from the absolute start with just some thumbnails and early ideation, and now being completely finished has been an awesome adventure. You're super talented dude and I'm very happy to have been one of your classmates to witness such talent.
This is so great! I loved it. You’ve created such an cool world and the main character is so lovable and lettucey. The lighting blows my mind too. The lighting moving from the stick lamp and all the silhouettes were fantastic
This is a literal masterpiece. I have never seen something with so much emotion and real feelings from something that doesn’t even look like a thing that has emotions. Yet you made him have emotions. This is actually so deserving of much more attention than it had
This is beautiful. I think my two favorite moments are when Einli pokes at the shaft of light, then covers it up as if he thinks it will hurt him, and when he does cover it up and we get the reveal of the eldritch subterranean vine monster. Vine monster says: Now you f**ked up! Einli: Wuh-oh
with all the dreamlike things that it has, at the end I thought it was the world of dreams or another reality from which Lovecraft's works are seen the truth is interesting fascinating and even attractive to see the whole journey to overcome your fears no matter how shy a person is, you cannot allow all fear to be as long as you take control of a person an excellent message that may take time to take into account but you still understand what this magnificent piece of animated art wants to get :D
This. Was. SO FRICKING AMAZING! I can't even express how great this film was. Oh my god the little guy, his movement, the environment, and the monster were so amazing. I just love it so much.
If this doesn't win a short film award or something, I'm gonna have some words to a few people because this was amazing. Better than anything Disney could have made. Get this man some more subs.
I think this is the best stop motion on the site. The atmosphere for the cave is incredible, the aesthetic of the temple and the monster are also great. Overall this was worth the wait to see, and it is fucking amazing.
This was incredible, im a huge fan of nightmare before christmas and the main characters animation was done just as brilliant as jack skeletons. I love the sounds that the character makes and also the animation is beautiful, fantastic and very well done, I congratulate you on your efforts!
Thank you so much for watching! And I'm glad you liked the sounds- he's voiced by my dog Pocket!
That was beautiful ; the sets, the light, the scenario, the movements of the puppet. Great work it's just awesome.
You gave me goosebumps on this emotional ride.
The set design and lighting alone really bring this short to life!
(Ngl im disappointed it's over, but thats just how im left when I watch ANY of your videos, so nothing new...)
This video deserves way more views. It's beautiful and it must have taken so much effort to create it.
thank you so much dude
and yeah, it took almost two years of hard work to finish- i'm currently in the process of uploading some behind-the-scenes videos about what went into it
@@mootroidXproductions the quality of the video reflects the hard work you put into it! i'll make sure to check out the behind the scene videos
Charlie this came out AMAZING. Seeing it from the absolute start with just some thumbnails and early ideation, and now being completely finished has been an awesome adventure. You're super talented dude and I'm very happy to have been one of your classmates to witness such talent.
thank you so much holy crap
it is very nice to see you here
This is so great! I loved it. You’ve created such an cool world and the main character is so lovable and lettucey. The lighting blows my mind too. The lighting moving from the stick lamp and all the silhouettes were fantastic
This should be a movie advertised on TV
i somehow got to this channel from a 30 second video of left 4 dead mr.valve turns his head
Bro same
Same lol
Same
Lmao same
i'm glad we're all easily suggestible
Gave me a huge rush of nostalgia for Oddworld Abe's Oddysee, absolutely loved it!
This is a literal masterpiece. I have never seen something with so much emotion and real feelings from something that doesn’t even look like a thing that has emotions. Yet you made him have emotions. This is actually so deserving of much more attention than it had
Amazing, favourite part is when he climbs up the hole and gravity gets inverted, sheesh it was really cool
just watching the first 46 seconds of sky below i can tell that the last colony pt.3 is going to be amazing
Now you're making a movie . it's worth waiting for.
BROOO THIS CHANNEL IS UNDERRATED AS HELL WHERES ALL HIS VIEWS HE DESERVES YO
This deserves an award I swear
Really well done. The purple vine attack was super vivid and vibrant.
That was absolutely amazing the sound design and character design was simply outstanding
This is amazing my favorite part is the ending when enli drops the knife or what ever his weapon was
This was so incredibly well made, the animation is beautiful, the sounds are really good and so satisfying my guy 👌
Really glad you liked that! Bit of character development happening there, huh?
This was incredible. Everything combined to make it insanely atmospheric. I wish there was more.
there will be more soon!!
with all the dreamlike things that it has, at the end I thought it was the world of dreams or another reality from which Lovecraft's works are seen
the truth is interesting
fascinating and even attractive to see the whole journey to overcome your fears no matter how shy a person is, you cannot allow all fear to be as long as you take control of a person
an excellent message that may take time to take into account but you still understand what this magnificent piece of animated art wants to get :D
Thank you so much for the analysis! You hit it right on the mark! That's exactly the feeling I wanted to invoke with this film. Glad you liked it!
@@mootroidXproductions de nada :3
we all can joy the art in all his forms no matter what, the art is one of langues of the universe
This was some of the most fluid animation I’ve seen in such a long time. Please keep making treasures like this one!
This. Was. SO FRICKING AMAZING! I can't even express how great this film was. Oh my god the little guy, his movement, the environment, and the monster were so amazing. I just love it so much.
Aw, man, thank you so much! I'm glad you took the time to watch it! Have you seen the behind-the-scenes videos yet?
Cant even express how good this is, my stopmotion films are like pure amateur, this should be on netflix.
AWSOME! Love the set, sound design, everything comes together nicely! EPIC WORK
I can really feel the tone of this stop motion, the music really put chills on my spine. Another amazing work from the man himself!!!!
I genuinely don't know what else to say other then this is incredible
Hope this gets more traction.
Excellent job. I liked the originality and was captivated by the unique style and by not knowing what would happen next.
This was incredible, im a huge fan of nightmare before christmas and the main characters animation was done just as brilliant as jack skeletons. The lighting was beautiful, the music kept me engaged and the suspense in the end actually had me leaning forward hoping this random character ive seen for 5 mins lives. Brilliant work, hoping for a part 2 (:
Very well animated, from character to lighting and to set design, I hope that this gets more love than it has gotten because this is a piece of art
Mootroid when make a Animation
Stonks📈📈📈📈📈
Edit:I love the Animation is great and the pocket voice in the stop motion was great all the Animation is Amazing good work mootroid
This took almost 2 years of work? Damn, well, I would say after all that time and effort, it was worth it! The lighting, the animation, the set, the character design, etc. It’s all so good! You really made us understand the character without them even talking! Their body movement, and their expressions are great! Fantastic job!
Aw, man, thank you! I'm so glad you connected to him! Hope you'll find some value in the behind-the-scenes videos, too!
Holy crap. Well freaking done! The expessions are on POINT too!
Amazing world!!!! Totally professional and artistic!!!! I love it! Great Lighting, camera work, and soundtrack!
Thank you so much!
Absolutely breathtaking, by far my favorite film by Mootroid.
The fact that this doesn't have at least 1 million views is mind boggling
thank you dude
unfortunately that's youtube for you
