Back then, this was a match that we never thought we'd see. No one that was a wrestling fan would have thought that Ric Flair and Arn Anderson would face each other in the ring.
I have a three DVD set that counts down the fifty greatest superstars in pro wrestling history. The fact that Arn Anderson is not on the list is inexcusable.
Matthew Stofer I watch that on the network and I was really pissed. But, he was making comments on certain superstars like Ricky steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, ric flair and others. It’s a crying shame isn’t it?
Matthew Stofer Arn looks like a tough guy. I think he is outside the business. Arn was kind of a mans man. I miss WCW and the type of wrestling plus the types of guys.
I actually met Double A in Charlotte many moons ago. One of the nicest people you’d ever want to meet. Ole Anderson was the crazy “get off my lawn guy!” His attitude in and and outside the ring has kept him out of some hall of fames. In saying that, I loved to watch him work..him and Gene
Ole was actually a very nice guy out in public. I remember meeting him when I was 10 years old. We were on vacation in North Myrtle Beach and he was staying at the same hotel we were in.
I like how other wrestlers came out to watch this match. It was like going to school. AA was an incredible pure wrestler. I'm sure in a way Ric and Arn had fun here.
I was legit PISSED, As great match as it was, Too me they should never fight each other Lol and AA is probably the most underrated wrestlers of all time
I use to watch this match everyday after school on vhs tape. I was in professional wrestling school at the time and watched tape on how to bump like double a
It's amazing how not even a year later the nWo would happen. This really feels like the end of last vestiges of the Crockett era. Everything was about to change so much in Wrestling after this.
I saw an interview with Arn where he said he actually threw up before this match because he was so nervous. I like how they showed that all the wrestlers came out to see this match.
I'm going to be candid. This was a match, strictly for wrestling purists. This was NOT a wrestling match, for the modern wrestling fan, who thought that the N. W. O group, was cool. It didn't get the level of build-up that the program, so richly deserved. In my, not so humble opinion; the fact that fans in the arena were still in their seats, while 2 of the greatest competitors were battling each other in the ring; was indicative of the fact that pro-wrestling was taking a backseat to sports entertainment.
Arn should have been World Champion, problem he was Flairs friend watching his back. In a shoot, Arn said “he wanted to be world champion” on RUclips.com.
2 quick points. The first is, I never thought Id see the day that these two would go at it. It kinda reminded me of that episode "Carnival Of Thrills" from that old TV series (& still a classic) The Dukes Of Hazzard, where Bo & Luke hooked em up. This is the wrestling's version of Bo & Luke. And the 2nd point is, allot of people out there, tend to forget that Arn Anderson was as strong as an OX. He had & has great upper body strength. All ya got do is look at his shoulders, the guy is stronger than people give em credit for. He's a great talent.
Arn was one of the best promo cutters ever in wrestling. It's a shame that his career didn't go long because of the neck injury at the prime of his career no less. People would never deny what a great performer Arn really was.
The crowd understood the importance of this match. This match had no home court advantage. Bobby said it best talking about that piece of human sewage.
There's a backstage story here. Bobby Heenan told the truth at 1:46 it was Hogan and Bischoff politiciking backstage. They referenced Flair as "former world champ" when he was coming out to denigrate him in front of his home crowd. They wanted to bury Flair at every opportunity and kill him off, but the fans refused to play along. The look on each man's face as he comes to the ring tells the story.
You can tell that Arn and Flair didn't want this match, two members of wrestling's notorious elite faction the 4 Horsemen, traveled everywhere together, bled up and down the coast all over the country, held numerous titles, you name it. It's a shame these days Flair is pushing people away with his partying lifestyle and he won't give it up. He beat death once, but he probably won't be so lucky the next time he has a heart attack.
Only recently did I find out that there were some bad feelings between Schiavone and Heenan. But they appeared to be an excellent announce team! Bobby Heenan was 1 of a kind! Especially in his 80s stint in the WWF! He knew how to make you hate his stinking guts! He could generate more heat than an Antimatter Reactor!!!
Scott Wood he sure was. I think because he didn't use steroids like all the wrestlers did. I was wondering why Tony schiavone said that he was from Minnesota when he is originally from Rome Georgia. But I figured it out. Marty lunde himself is from Rome Georgia, his character that he portrays arn Anderson is from Minnesota due to the Anderson family name. But now all of these years he lives in Charlotte North Carolina. It's really sad today that ric and arn is no longer best friends in real life now.

Anyone here after hearing Double A on the Arn show?

Should have asked for a refund. 50 greatest and Arn Anderson's not on that list is false advertising.
When Arn Anderson is by himself there are a dozen Arn Andersons. That being said I'm a HUGE fan.
I agree 💯
Anybody else get chills when that Horsemen theme kick in...what a theme.
Yeap
Easily one of the best themes ever

The golden Age of Pro Wrestling 1985-1995. WCW vs. WWF.
This is a phenomenal match and Arn Anderson should be regarded as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all-time. And man could he cut a promo!
Always been a fan of Double A. The Enforcer guaranteed a good match. (Plus he had a badass theme)
I have heard a lot of bad things about ric flare. I haven't heard nothing bad at all about arn anderson.
And I do agree with you I love his theme music as well.
DJ Watts I agree. I might be the only African-American girl who likes arn Anderson and ric flair.
Also had killer promos.
Damn , this was wrestling . I miss WCW so much and badly.
Arn Anderson music always gave me chills.
I was legit PISSED, As great match as it was, Too me they should never fight each other Lol and AA is probably the most underrated wrestlers of all time
Double A should've a world champion in both WWE & wcw he was just that damn good
Daniel Crosby I agree.
this is what i liked about wcw. They would put face vs face or heel vs heel matches that would've never gone down in the wwf.
Absolutely. No build-up. No feuds. No drama. Just good random matches between veterans and newcomers alike.
WWF did do that though lol Hogan vs Warrior, Bret Hart vs 123 Kid, Piper vs Orndorff
The assortment of wrestlers watching in the crowd just made this feel even more special.
AA deserved a title run. Great promo and great performer.
Arn Anderson and The Four Horseman, had the best entrance music!
Damn there isn’t much happening and the Crowd Of WCW is louder than WWE PG era or WWF.
The Brain, the best there is, was or ever will be. Miss you Bobby.
Arn Anderson's music is so goooooooood!
People were deeply into pro wrestling when you watch WCW. These were the best wrestler outside of NJPW.
No other relationship like this has ever or will ever exist again in pro wrestling.
The pops Arn gets are always crazy! We all loved him!
Always wondered, how come Flair finally cut his hair after claiming for years it was his trademark?
Wasn’t it a reason he left WCW for the WWF?
Sometimes you gotta smack some sense into your buddy
If memory serves me right, Neither Flair nor Arn wanted this match.
defiantone Flair said it made him sick to do this.
Watch this and you'll learn that Ric was THE BOOKER so he wrote this match into existence! ruclips.net/video/mZCIvzEopXQ/видео.html
@@44mag39 Arn legit puked before coming to the ring.
Arn Anderson was the thinking mans wrestler. Such a great technical wrestler, one of the greatest of all time.
One of the greatest matches of all time!!!!
I miss Vinatage WCW
When WCW was awesome
Me too
I use to watch this match everyday after school on vhs tape. I was in professional wrestling school at the time and watched tape on how to bump like double a
Too me.....This TRULY showcases just how GREAT Arn was!!!!!
Their theme with the horses running, is by far the greatest for that stable
It's amazing how not even a year later the nWo would happen. This really feels like the end of last vestiges of the Crockett era. Everything was about to change so much in Wrestling after this.
The promo for this was epic man and so was the build up
It's crazy how some of the best never get the strap
My dad was at this show. This was a few months before I was born.
Arn Anderson is awesome
Him and ric totally rock.
I miss WCW
"That human sewage" The Brain, hitting the nail on the head lol!

Whizzpopper yeah, too bad they were great friends and Hogan got Heenan his job at both WWE and WCW
When you see the name Arn Anderson on the Marquee, your getting the very best there is!
I saw an interview with Arn where he said he actually threw up before this match because he was so nervous. I like how they showed that all the wrestlers came out to see this match.
Back then WCW with a lot of the old WWF wrestlers jumping ship on over to WCW was like AEW nowadays.

mindphreak4money Fans did not like it . A pure Wrestling Match. fans did not like Arn Vs. RIC . liked
them together. sort of bad
booking by WCW.

Who else was pulling for Double AA ??
Scott Wood me. I'm glad he won this one. Thanks in part to Brian pillman.
The slaps from Arn that Flair sold so well were gold.
Two old school studs going at it. Worth price of admission.
The Match of the Century. This happened in 95. Than 1997 was when Brian Pillman passed away.
No one could fish flop like Ric Flair can.
The biggest all star match of all time pay per view was worth it that day!!!
The Chemistry between Anderson and Flair is amazing. Doesn't get better
Arn had an amazing prematch promo as well.
I can't help but laugh evertime I hear his intro. Especially after the Nwo promo.
The match I thought I never would see when it happened.
So sad that Arn NEVER held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship Belt and or the Old NWA World Heavyweight Championship Belt.
Came to see Anderson after playing WWE 12 Road To Wrestlmania
Arn should have been World Champion, problem he was Flairs friend watching his back. In a shoot, Arn said “he wanted to be world champion” on RUclips.com.
Thank you very much closed captions finally. I remember
AA would have been a GREAT WORLD H-W Champ. WHY 'Naitch wouldn't Put ARN 'over' I Don't Know.
One of the rare times we get to see AA working as the face wrestler in a match.
Loved this match. Easily the highlight of this lack lusture PPV. Should have been the main event.
Time traveler at 28 seconds on the right. Holding a Flair 3:16 sign 9 months before Austin gave his speech
I never noticed that b4 lol
Says Flair 3:16
What in theee exact fuk am I watching😐👀...👁😱🤯
Folks held up 3:16 signs since the 1970s
I just noticed and was looking to see if someone said it in the comments. Guess I'm 4yrs late😂
The most Amazing thing about this match is, they are both ALIVE!
Newer wrestling fan. Watching for the first time, after Arn podcast about it.
Exited obv
Arn is one of my favorites of all times
Arn podcast brought me here he got sick before the match arn
This should’ve been the main event or double main event
They look like they are having fun in there!! 😁😁

I can't believe I used to think this was real
This is real Wrestling
Man love him or hat him I used to love to watch Arn wrestle and he is the master of the spine buster.
Kid's this is what wrestling looks like.
Arn has always looked older than he is. He is only 35 here I think.
3 days b4 his 37th birthday
Eddie Guerrero was there R.I.P
What would have made this better, would have Jim Ross to have called the match.
I miss wcw so much
Arn is always dead serious
I'm nor even sure if I ever seen that man smile
On his podcast. Arn said he puked before this match. He said he was so nervous
Just a shame it wasn't done on a Wrestlemania PPV rather than these cheaper looking events in WCW.
The crowd understood the importance of this match. This match had no home court advantage. Bobby said it best talking about that piece of human sewage.
I never thought Double A would snap.
1:46 Bobby Heenan tells the truth
Flair 3:16. Long before Austin 3:16
2 Legends & 2 friends.
Perfect start of the video with the enforcers entrance the commentary’s face and pure silence need I say more

Of course it was. Bischoff and Hogan caused this trying to bury the Horsemen
Ric Flair was on the booking committee when this match was made lol so Flair was one of the ones who signed off on it.
(Tony) "This is Arn Anderson's coming-out party, so to speak..." (Heenan) Silence 😆
Little did we know: Bobby Heenan was always right about Hulk Hogan.
I remember this Fall Brawl 95 PPV
Back when wrestling was 1000% better.
A great match!
no flips.. just fists...
Haha oh yeah
They don't call Double A the enforcer for no reason!
45 mins wooo, glad WWE didn’t tell the time length
Man, Flair is stylin and profiling in this this contest.
When I hear Arn Anderson's cool theme, I cant NOT think of Kevin Nash dressed up as Arn walking out with ARNS cooler. Funniest thing I've ever seen.
What means Flair 3:16 ?
You can tell that Arn and Flair didn't want this match, two members of wrestling's notorious elite faction the 4 Horsemen, traveled everywhere together, bled up and down the coast all over the country, held numerous titles, you name it.
