Yes he shouldn’t go dark but he shouldn’t forgive or over look it as he has…. At least he should put it on the list of things to deal with later.
On top of that just because one doesn’t have I’ll will to oneself doesn’t mean they don’t have intentions to harm you. Hokage has done a ton of harm to the village intentionally or unintentionally. Just the fact he never rejected danzo is proof of this.
