if you’re here i’m sorry i’m sure you’re nice, but antoinette maybe needs to move on-this person is ostensibly happy and probably trying to get their shit together. the tone of malice in that call was wild. if you truly dislike them this much why do you want to reinsert yourself into this person’s life? you don’t “need” to know anything about them.

Antionette, no. I was actually in a very similar situation. Two couples in their early twenties with giant egos, undiagnosed mental health problems, and unhealthy coping mechanisms (led to addiction) living together. It didn’t end well. My partner and I worked towards recovery, healing ourselves, and improving our relationship.
A few years after that, the Antionette of our story comes into the restaurant I was working at. I hadn’t known he previously worked there and that his roommate was the current bartender. I was even in his new place once before that because his roommate, that I only knew at that time as my coworker, hosted a party there. He was asleep so neither of us knew lol. Well I was just working my shift when one of my coworkers approaches me and starts asking me questions about things I had never told anyone there since I was on the newer side. He had been out by the bar and was talking about me with every coworker he could. He was telling them about what had happened while living together, said things about my character and the kind of person I supposedly was, while claiming he was over it and that he was simply trying to warn them about me. In reality, he hadn’t moved on and couldn’t fathom the fact that I had grown and changed because it’s not something he even attempted. He still saw me as that person from a few years before because HE was still that person.
Antionette, don’t be that person. It’s not cute. It’s not funny. It’s toxic and embarrassing (for you).
Go to therapy if their relationship and happiness is bothering you so much.

You can get pink eye from a scratch on your eye, bacteria, or allergies. I got pink eye from a kid sneezing in my face and another time from bad colored contacts.

It sounds like the other girl was struggling with addiction when shit went down between them, and to show up at her wedding years later is all kinds of vindictive. If one of my ex-friends showed up at my wedding it would forever taint my memory of a day that was supposed to be about me and my partner’s future together, even if she isn’t there to start drama.

Yeah i dont want to be a bummer and completely get why she thinks it would be entertaining to go- but has she considered that respecting these peoples happy day and who theyve selected to be in it is like worth more than that entertainment value? lol.but she didnt come off as being that careless or disrespectful of a person in the call so it made me wonder if her history w those people just made her feel no respect for them or not feel like them getting married was that sacred or special- which she did kind of explain was the case but was also super vague so idk. I’m glad Miles at least told Antoinette that she would look bad if she goes to the wedding. I fully get her curiosity, as a reforming messy friend myself, but that’s not something she should act on. If the satisfaction of experiencing it firsthand is worth looking like a fool to her, so be it. I hope Miles planting that seed of doubt sways her to not go

While some people may call pink eye “poop eye”, that's not always accurate. Young children especially can get pink eye from rubbing their eyes after a bathroom visit where they didn't wash their hands, but several other types of bacteria can also cause pink eye. Eye makeup is another common culprit for pink eye.

I somehow missed out on the pink eye and the lice. I did get the chicken pox though, and then a couple years ago got shingles as a 33-year-old. I thought that only happened to people 50+ so I was an outlier... so that's fun. lol

Antionette is giving mean-girl energy-- and not in a good way. Let these people go on their own life journey together, if things happen-- they happen. They are trying to be happy and live their life, you are trying to bombard it and want to go as far as to crashing their wedding-- their special day with the person they at least believe they love. Even though Antionette is saying "I don't want to ruin it, I just NEED to be there"-- what if they also aren't fond of you and they see you and that ruins their wedding? Invitations exist for a reason: keep the wanted people = in, keep the unwanted = out. Also, Antionette mentioned her sister works as a wedding planner and that she could possibly get info... that is how you get your sister to lose her job. Don't be selfish, let these people live and Antionette, you need to find a hobby or something that makes you happy.

You can buy pinkeye drops pretty much any store that sells eye drops and contact supplies like grocery stores or the cvs etc.
Yeah, maybe to soothe some of the irriation but that doesn't get rid of the bacteria or virus that causes it.

I once got a really bad case of pink eye after the milk of a poisonous plant squirted into my eye (long story, I was just being a clueless kid). Had to go to the ER and get it flushed out for hours and the next day my eyes were crusted shut 🥲
