Hi PJ... I collect hobbies. Sewing, crocheting, junk journalling (and all the goodies that go with THAT hobby), coasters (years ago -the kind that you rest your drink on - not the bus 😁), stickers & stamps (as a kid), stubbie coolers, I "dabble" in Genealogy, & of course Aussie coins. Pre-decimal & current. Have a great week noodling etc. Janice
I've been collecting tickets from Trams, Trains and Buses and have done since my early teens. I'm now approaching my 60's so it's been a loong time! Almost 100,000 itickets in my collection.
Have just dug up in back yard 1932 beer bottle , and an Aboriginal sharping toll , just goes to show treasure is still there
I have collected antique bottles from beer, soft drink, whisky, wine and perfume. Still have most. I stopped because I ran out of space to display them. Fortunately coins don’t take up as much space 😊
Hi, beside collecting coins I have a collection of pocket knives, a collection of 140 different cigarette lighters, some new and some old and something different a collection of shotgun shell boxes, I can supply pictures if required, thanks love your coin hunts🙂
Hi Pj!
When I was 7, I collected rocks. I was obsessed. Then, I started collecting bits of tree sap, dont ask me why. Since I has 2, i have loved collecting shells, and I still do. I have buckets upon buckets of shells on our deck.
Right now, I am collecting old bottles, jars and sea glass (from the beach and digging) which I love. And obviously, I collect coins. I started noticing how special coins were when I found a fire fighter coin, then I have been given my grandpa's coin collection from when he was 8, and my dad collected stamps. So I guess collecting things runs in the family!!
-Grace
Hi PJ, I really enjoy watching your Your Tube videos. I am a keen collector of many things - coins, stamps, souvenir spoons, fridge magnets, stubby coolers, caps - just love them!
I am a patchwork so fabric is my jam. Thanks PJ
' I also collect WW1 Military Memorabilia; I have a Pine Cone which is a direct descendent from the Lone Pine Tree at Gallipoli. It is preserved in clear resin with a plaque which says Lone Pine Tree Shrine of Remembrance Melbourne Victoria 1933 - 2012.'
The 1977 50 cent Silver Jubilee, I believe is a Mint Coin Error. I have a similar mark on another coin.
Love your channel . I collect homeless cats over the years and give them a good life I love animals . The 50c looks like it was done during production .
Hi PJ Collects.
I have been collecting gems from all over the world.
Mainly off auction sites at all hours of the night and day 😀
You can get some absolute bargains and it satisfies my shiny obsession:)😅😂😂
Before coins....I started with stamps, taught me about collectables VS intrinsic value, now collect silver & gold🤑
👍⛏️🤠✌️🇭🇲
Apart from Aussie coins, I collect chopsticks, made from all sorts of materials, wood, stainless steel, silver,
my prize set is made from jade with gold tops.
Great hunt Pj we collect public telephone cards . Stamps . AFL Football cards . Old Bottles. Gem stones. Gold we are retired gold prospectors.
Excellent hunt - Was into stamps for many years - but changed to coin collecting, if the 1930 penny is out of reach the $2 Red Poppy coin is one that should be collected, should hold its value, especially the C Mark one. Adelaide Pound is also a good one. Collect coin / note faults. Have some comics, Christmas Ornaments - Star Wars etc. Have some paintings.
Hi PJ.
I also collect stamps ( Australia, Territories, New Zealand & Greenland) also DVDs (someTV series & movies).
Great vid Pete. I collect "Biggles" books by W.E. Johns, Vintage valve radios & performance and recording studio microphones. i guess I could add the 27 stringed instruments ranging from Guitars, banjo's, ukulele's, dulcimers and cigar bxc guitars, but this collection has come about because I just love playing them. Keep up the good work mate.
I collect coins and older model video games that bring back old memories.
I also collect denim jeans, also the damaged 50c looks like it was struck that way from the mint, have a wonderful night PJ 👍
Hello PJ. Apart from collecting coins, i collect mens Speedo swim briefs. Mainly older pairs from the 90s and early 2000s.
Love watching your Great Hunt videos PJ, Something Awesome & interesting to watch on RUclips but collected stamps, small metal coke bottles that I bought from over seas! But Coins are my Passion and so are your videos! Talk soon, Cheers Mark

That Jubilee 50 cent coin is a Planchet Flaw error. I love collecting old Australian Codd & Ginger beer Bottles.
Your wright it is an error coin. 😊
Thanks
I've got a collection of pocket calendars from when I was a kid
One of your RUclips videos popped up in my feed earlier this year so I watched it and was intrigued by your information so I've started collecting coins for my Granddaughter (she doesn't know as yet). I find your videos quite informative and thank you for all your time and tips. I have previously been collecting Moda Precut Fabric bundles, very different from coin collecting indeed. I now am selling these bundles to support my noodling of coins. I find noodling a bit of a rollercoaster ride as sometimes there is a bounty and other times it is disheartening but the thrill of not knowing is so worth the end result either way. Thanks so much for sharing your time and knowledge.
I collected stamps, plant books, cook books and a lot of other junk that should go through
Love watching your hunts
And I used to collect stamps as kid
Love your hunts and Learnt so much. I collected teaspoons from every where I travelled, had around 60 when I was stopped
Nice hunt, I collect Coins, banknotes, old Bottle caps I find when metal detecting.

Great video mate. I collect vintage matchbox cars mainly from 1970 but other years too. I also collect there diecast cars too, cheers Graham.
Hi PJ, thanks for the informative videos. I'm only new to coin collecting and I enjoy finding the coloured coins. Previously I started collecting 80s movies but now I'm working on all other collections of DVDs.
Another enjoyable video thanks PJ
I started my working life as a toolmaker. That definately looks like rubbish on the die.
I collect old tools. My father passed down all his tool making tools. And I have been steadily adding to my collection.
Great noodling PJ. I collect fishing gear hats lures old reels and rods. love the videos
Hi I've been collecting old bottles stamps old radios 📻 afl cards over the years 😊
Cheers PJ, like the vids, I collect antique embossed glass bottles and old enamel signs there are some great ones for the man cave, I like the old advertising and Holden signs, as well as coins haha, thanks mate

Enjoying the hunt. I collected stamps as a kid, and McDonald's toys in recent years.
I also collect axes, with and without handles. Thanks for the vid.
Wow! never heard of this hobby collectable
It was a good hunt. I think that the dent on the 1977 50 cent is PMD could be wrong but it would be hard to imagine something in the mint process making a mark like that. I have a small collection of caps mainly sports orientated.
Great hunt. Stuff that doesn't mean much to other people. I guess But out Metal detecting I collect all the old boot tacks and buttons. Mint Damage
Hello P J l am 71 years old been collecting coloured coins since they first appeared in our currency.lwould love the yellow coin you've found to win.please❤
I collect garden pebbles and sometimes make fridge magnets from them.😀
Great Hunt PJ, I collect Rum from all places, looks like that might be a debris on the die maybe
I still have a collection of Phonecards from when I was younger.
As a kid it was rocks and stanps.. I still love rocks and collect when I find something cool! I have been a slack coin collector usually spending what I find eventually but I have been doing well over the last year and have my boys keen to collect them also! I'm actually thinking of buying some rolls for the first time.
Always look out for the 2010 Bubble error 20 cent coin.
I also collected LEGO sets and stamps. in response to the 1977 sliver Jubilee coin, I think it is post-mint damage.
Hi PJ. I collect ancestors. I have been researching family history for over 30 years. I, in my amateur knowledge, think the damaged 50c is PMD although I am often wrong.
I'm looking for the 2017 Mabo 50 cent coin, amongst others.
The "Silver Jubilee" coin - I think that's a post minting mark because it looks like some of the patterning is in the groove.
Besides coins, I collect stamps; enemies; books; and figurines.
Some good finds mate you had the luck today always very informative
Glad you enjoyed
I collect some banknotes, stamps and maybe some medals I come across. By the way, great video!
some my collations other than coins: street lights, mini bins, film cameras, road reflectors and vhs tapes
Hi PJ, I am now only collecting coins. but I once collected stamps, they were certainly easier to come by when I was a kid. I'm sure I still have some somewhere.... I also have a small collection of LP records, and was recently surprised to see the same albums for sale in JB HiFi, albeit at a much higher price than I paid back in the 70s and 80s. As for that 50c 'damaged' coin, from what I could see on the video, I would have to agree with you that there must have been something on the die when it was stamped. If it was PMD you would expect more of a raised ridge around the damage. Thanks for your informative videos.
I used to collect numbers plates but sold them in a marital break up to help pay my lawyers. I never purchased any just collected what I could find. My best sale was $2500 on one plate.
Thanks for the videos I now look at the coins I get :)
I Collect Lego sets. They get build and then put on display, where the kids cant get to them😁
Hey pj, I collect a few different things, but the thing I have collected the longest i guess is ticket stubbs, mainly concerts and major sporting events i have been to. Great way to remember old fun times. Don't seem to get many today as everything has gone digital.
I'm really enjoying watching your hunts. I collect green glass, uranium vintage glass. I think it's beautiful. When I was little I didn't really like chocolate (what a fool), so for Easter my mum would give me soaps. I collected so many different shapes & fragrances. My favourites were a Snoopy & a Charlie Brown. Such simple pleasures 😊
I use to collect complementary match boxes and match books that were given away by hotels, airlines and an assortment of businesses when smoking was popular and now you just can’t get them,
I also Collect Stamps from 1800s onward, small antiques and gold pan and metal detect, when I find time... Noodling is mostly my priority, and thankyou for teaching me about, what to find P J...
YOYO's as a kid I collected. I wish I still had them ;(
I collect alcohol bottles like yourself
( when I used to drink more ) 😅
A couple of decades ago I also had a thing for the dragonball z discs that came out in the chip packets. Cool finds on the rabbit ears btw. 😮
Phone cards used to get them out of phone boxes, got a tonne, wish they were still a thing
Another excellent vid.. Thank you Pj.. I collect Alcohol bottles that I like (FULL), Bands endorsed like Carlos Santana Tequila, Elvis Whiskey etc, and some that are awesome looking bottles. I have been collecting them for many years and have a room dedicated for them, and had to buy a professional bar to show and store many of them. I call that room the BACKBENCH.. And of course a room just for my coin collection, both Australian decimal and pre-decimal, and Great Britain UK coins pre-decimal. And of course Banknotes all denomination from COA era..
I collect old woodworking hand tools and restore them also pocket watches and you started me on the coins. that 50 cent is post mint damage i rekon.
Hi PJ a great hunt, love finding the rabbit ears ! I collect old bottles and anything old and interesting.
Collected early Australian phone cards. mint, single hole and multi hole, all varieties.

Hi PJ, I have always collected stamp as a child and beer coasters on our trips to different places here and over seas. cheers. Stephen. PS I'd say post mint damage.
Great hunt PJ. I have collected vintage buttons for many years & also have a small collection of old hand made wooden toys. I have been glad to learn so much about error coins from your videos, thanks.
Australian Pottery
Nice haul P J always look forward to your shows, I collect vintage Dinky, Corgi, matchbox and hot wheels toys and love the hunt cheers.
I collect plants and love finding new shapes and coloured leaves. That 50c I reckon is an error as the strike doesn't go through to the edge???
Mum found a 50c , year 2000 commemorative coin with a mark above the queens head , looks like part of her hair , not sure if it’s a mint mark or a deep scratch. Actually it seems to be marked right around around the whole coin about the size of a 20c coin. Its a royal visit coin
I collect vintage australian full ciggerete pkts. As a child i collected erasers 😅
I’ve watched a lot of your videos. I’d like to suggest that you pre-start the initial unwrapping process before the actual video starts.. That way you can easily and quickly unwrap the coins during the video begins.
Just a thought.
I always worry that people will think that I might place special coins in the rolls and that the hunt results may not be authentic. I will see if I can give it a go.
Besides Coins I've always collected Stamps, Bank notes, AFL footy cards, AFL Guernsey's (only my AFL team) and AFL memorabilia like certain players Lithographs which are usually limited.
which AFL team?
@@PJsCoinCapers LoL a hint should do it PJ the Wooden Spooners this year.
Yeah I know I've always said we are a 12 year Club. So 2030 sounds about right.
Tough year indeed, We are are Hawthorn family.
A long time ago I collected flags of the world but they got stolen so I went to coins and that 1977 50c looks like a die damage nice find for a variety great hunt P.J. thanks for sharing. 👍💰👍
I have collected stamps and old farm tools
Love this new channel name.I also collect notes. Have collected stamps and pencil sharpeners for 55 years. Keep up the good work.
I also collect vintage Dog on the Tuckerbox souvenirs
I collect Magic the Gathering cards. :)
As a newbie, maybe give a price range for the ones you do find in future, just as a single coin
You have a relaxing 😌💯😌 voice
You think so? Thank you
@@PJsCoinCapers of course it's very very soothing to listen to it is the best part of the show
The music collection weren't a focus until finding the Australian releases I'd had were rare and collectible, in our teens, and added to the last 4 decades, posters, other music ephemera, along with stamps, coins, banknotes, gemstones, goldfields relics, precious metals found or bought (cheap!). Thanks for your sharing in the interest in varieties and errors! Perhaps the audience could share the as-yet unidentified? I've a 20c Qld with the "9" in 1901-2001 filled, a Commonwealth Of Australia where the "F" is an upside-down "L"! Let me/ us all know, I'd not looked for the FB page if there's one, sorry.
Great job PJ 👏 some nice finds there, great video, very fun to watch. Did you get a magnifier 🔍 onto it?
May be Jewelers loop 👁️🤔👁️
I've also collected Hot wheels cars, pokemon cards and Magic the gathering cards
Good hunt, havent been doing much myself but watch everthing that comes on .thank you for these hunts.
Hi Dave, hope your well.
Did you get the envelope I put in your mail box?
1977 jubilee 50cent appears to be mint damage!? I also collect ph cards and Stamps. 😁 Cheers 🐞
As a child I used to collect stamps and now it's books and fishing lures. Question for you, how can you tell a proof coin from a shiny coin?.
I found a proof coin in circulation. I determined this by comparing it to an actual (carded coin) proof coin. If you don't have a proof coin, you can compare it to another coin of the same domination. A proof coin has a mirrored-like background (background as the space behind the details). You can also check and see if there was a proof coin made in the year of the coin you found.
Hope this helped 😀
I like the longer vids, I collect biante model cars from the v8 supercars
That 50 cent at 1st looks like pmd but on closer inspection you can see see the stamp lines in the bottom n they all line up with the un marked sections pmd wouldn't have left these
Nice Noodling mate! 🐰 👂🤯
Keep up the great content! 🙌🙌🙌 it's hard to get any C mint mark stuff in the west imo
That silver jubilee is a die obstructed error.
Cheers for the vids as always, I collected pencil sharpeners as a child but realised after a while that I prefer very minimal possessions and clutter. The 50c Reverse strike through error looks good is it real IDK.
