- It's a been a tough several years to be a Vol fan. It's a wonder to see any fan actually stick it out. Now the ones that have need to go through fan retraining so they can actually enjoy college football.

I love the vid but I feel like true VFLs enjoy watching our boys play won or lose. Winning is obviously more enjoyable but I still have fun watching young men love what they do and try their hardest to get to that next level in life for some of them.

We know Hope's mother lol. She lived with us in the 90s and early 2000's. And she tormented us just as much as Hope did GA until last year. 😆 😅 😂

This is so cathartic. This is EXACTLY how it has felt over the years. Some non-Tennessee fans didn’t understand my stress when we went up by 3 scores against LSU. I was like “I’ve been hurt before and seen us lose a game AFTER 0:00 when we had more points so I don’t celebrate a win until the press conference” GO VOLS!!
I still have PTSD to this day cause of that game. That and the 2016 season.

One UT female fan told me recently. "Bro, you don't understand what it has been like dating TN for decades and letting the same team catfish you again and again, and now all of a sudden he's Liam Hemsworth"! LOL I laughed till I nearly cried..
The female fan is what is known as an ''Alpha Widow''. In other words, she dated a bad boy alpha stud who broke her in good and then left her for another woman. Afterwords, she could only find beta simps to date for decades. Now, all of a sudden, an alpha stud has come back into her life! That's what she's really saying...lol!

The first game I specifically remember following was '82 Bama/UT. My family was at the World Fair that day, and we were on the ferris wheel (south side of the stadium by the river) when the game went final.
I've seen highs and lows since, but the last 10 years I've gone hiking during big games so I don't ruin an otherwise terrific fall day.
For the Florida game I would always pressure wash my drive and house every year during that game. Years past FL could field a team of Oompa Loompas and TN would find a way to blow it!
Same. Hiking was the routine against Alabama and Georgia. No hiking this Saturday 🍊🍊🍊

I don't exactly know how the SEC Shorts crew has managed to accurately psychoanalyze the fan base of every SEC team, but man, oh man, have they ever. As a TN alumnus and VFL, I AM those guys in that skit! Geez!
As a Georgia grad, I completely agree. The skits with Hope hit the nail on the head. Every year we would listen to the ESPN hype get our hopes up only to crash and burn at the end of the season. It was sad because they had good seasons most anyone would be proud to achieve. But that freaking ESPN getting our hopes up telling how good the team was and top recruiting class............. Hope is four letter word that has been reclassified to the group of words that mothers scold children for using.
Cant wait to see what sec shorts does with this win.

My God you nailed it. I am very cautiously optimistic as a Vols fan. The Vols still look fragile, almost like they're inexperienced - they almost blew it against Florida and I still wasn't sure until halfway through the 4th quarter against LSU. Man they make me nervous but beating LSU like they did and then Alabama playing so poorly against A&M gave me some confidence. I can't wait for Saturday - Go Vols!!

As a Bama fan there is still a lot of fellow Bama fans in denial about how good this Tennessee team is. I’m not one of them, last week convinced me. You don’t just roll into Tiger Stadium and beat LSU by 3 touchdowns if you’re not the real deal, and the game wasn’t that close. If we don’t play better than we did on Saturday streak will be over.

Being an Alabama fan I watched UT go through something I thought they'd never go through. I knew they would eventually come out of it but this is spot on. Lots of UT fans in B'ham and it would always be, yea, we're up on the Gators but we'll blow it. Even had one tell me saturday LSU is a second half team so I'm not getting my hopes up. They became so programmed to have their hearts ripped out.

As a Tennessee fan I have been in training since the Kentucky game last year and I'm making real progress. I still have nightmarish thoughts on occasion. A voice in my head coming from a coach wearing a baby diaper in a playroom saying

UT fans still have some work to do. Ya'll were just getting over the stigma from the "Good Luck Trash Can" (that one still boggles the mind of everyone)... then last year ya'll brought out the mustard bottles (that one is still fresh). But the team is much improved. I honestly think Bama's a little overhyped this season, so we'll see what happens Saturday. Ya'll have a chance to win it, from what i've seen UT is a much better team than A&M.

Dawg fan here, last year I knew Tennessee would score points on us and I knew GA would win. This year I'm not looking forward to the game. If the dawgs don't get back in touch with how they played Oregon it's going to be a rough game. I would imagine it will look like the sec championship last year vs Alabama. I bleed crimson and white. Growing up, I hated Tennessee far more than Auburn. I still remember Peyton Manning leading the Tennessee band at the end of a beatdown in our house. I remember Phil Fulmer trying to get us the death penalty. That said, I do not hate Tennessee anymore. You guys have struck gold with the hire of Josh Heupel. It should be a great atmosphere on Saturday. I'm actually glad you guys are good again and hope that you can challenge Georgia. I predict an Alabama loss on Saturday if Bryce is not available to play. We could lose even if he does play. Best of luck to you no matter what Vols.
