I have always liked that the running into the fire can either be the same thing/your fear you were running away from and that you're now going to confront after gaining momentum OR you're inner fire itself that gives you a new power and opens a whole new world for you. Running away is usually considered a thing for the weak (or the smart, depending on the situation) and running into a fire is considered gutsy (and often times stupid). Idk I just get a weird satisfaction out of the two expressions being combined.

I have always liked that the running into the fire can either be the same thing/your fear you were running away from and that you're now going to confront after gaining momentum OR you're inner fire itself that gives you a new power and opens a whole new world for you. Running away is usually considered a thing for the weak (or the smart, depending on the situation) and running into a fire is considered gutsy (and often times stupid). Idk I just get a weird satisfaction out of the two expressions being combined.
Yeah, I always read it as like they're "running away" from the safety nets that are suffocating them, and "into the fire," which might be more dangerous but is freedom and worth the risk. They're such poets, seriously.
