    I just happened to think about the heavy handed contact. That could easily make the horses mouth sore. Not To mention the bit, shank and how tight the curb chain is applied. It hurts just thinking about it.

      @amberblyledge7859 3 года назад +1

      @@Julia-mi2ij I’m not quite sure. I can usually tell a gait imbalance, but I don’t have a keen enough eye to tell which leg. I thought at first it was the right front but then I thought it was the left front.
      I might need to watch those subtle lameness videos again.

    • @janets6474
      @janets6474 3 года назад +1

      @@Julia-mi2ij I don't think so. I think what we see is the horse is not through the back, pushing from behind and into the contact. The contact is lost many times, she is half halting on the inside rein which will contribute to a false bend. But that's what rollkur does. It all comes from their heavy hand on the rein, spurs and sometimes the horrible bouncing of some riders. I think this horse is smart. To avoid the contact she tips her nose a little more ( just enough)toward her chest which relieves her from the heavy contact. When the contact is lost she falls out of whatever gait she is in. That being said, it seems the more people are talking about, it could be possible the horse has tweaked something that only shows up at certain moments. Especially if it's actually in the hoof.

      Ok ladies, here is a video of this pair from 2016. Look at his overall condition in this video as opposed to the current one. There is a significantly amount of muscling lost. Now watch as she comes into the ring. She is yanking and holding that inside rein almost the entire time.
      What struck me the most was the overall condition of the horse.
      ruclips.net/video/hf048VlSzlI/видео.html
      Here is a video from 2018.
      ruclips.net/video/hf048VlSzlI/видео.html
      Grab something to put between your teeth because this could really make you yell. As to the lameness, see what you think about this. When this horse does passage, his front hooves cross over each other. He does it here too but there is not enough video to evaluate it. So what if, because the horse is not really working from behind and then starts doing passage and piaffe. Both being performed on the front end with all that stress on the fettlocks and in turn possible the hoof. It could also happen in the extension as well. So maybe he's lame (or sore) on BOTH front feet. This could explain the crossover action in the passage. But to this rider - yuk!!!! Watch her yanking on this horses mouth. Especially in the extended trot. Instead of using her seat with the half halt, she just halls off and gives him a big 'ol yank when she attempts to transition. Also, see the lose rein in the piaffe and she rocks her body. She also us quite all over the ring. One minute in the corner the next she isn't. Let me know your thoughts. I'm wondering if maybe the horse is trained by someone else and she just rides.

      @@janets6474 The videos are the same.
      It would not surprise me if she was just the rider. Not enough knowledge to train her own horse to do anything.
      I wish this horse had correct training as they would be excellent over all. That horse is fighting so hard.

      Yeah, me neither.. I get that he's big, beautiful and black and all that, quite a modern type of horse. But his piaffe is just terrible, his canter is nice, but he has a lot of trouble collecting. Overall think he's getting quite high marks..

      @janets6474 3 года назад +1

      Unfortunately it's the rider and training that make this horse look awful. Once in a while you can see some nice moments. Just imagine if Charlotte or Carl rode this horse.

    • @claudia273
      @claudia273 3 года назад +1

      @@janets6474 I don’t think this is charlotte’s type of horse. She mostly rides small, short, quick and naturally strong horses. Maybe Carl could work with Dante. I would actually prefer a German rider, since they’re more used to a horse with this exterior. But I don’t want to write Therese off, I don’t really know her. Curious to find out who trains her.

      @@claudia273 As I agree with you about Charlotte - that girl can ride anything and make it look good! 😉 I don't this gal is as bad as some but the rollkur is still there. But how can you send someone to the Olympics that can't even do a piaffe? Aside from all the other glaring problems. I appreciate your thoughts.

  • @janets6474
    @janets6474 3 года назад +3

    So sorry to see, yet again, a nice horse being ruined by a rider who can't ride. How did this horse advance to this level. You can almost tell she trains with rollkur with 2 tell signs. One is the horse being behind the vertical and the lack of connection with the mouth. One minute she has a strong grip on his mouth and the next the reins are lose. By overflexing the horse can get relief from the pressure and/or soreness in his mouth. Another tall tell sign is the half halts on the inside rein and contact on the outside rein lost because the horse is in a false bend. This is a beautiful horse and you can see the potential. But it's sorry to say yet another horse which will be ruined by this horrible, torturous riding.

    • @claudia273
      @claudia273 3 года назад +1

      Funny.. It is actually exactly the other way around. A horse that is trained using rollkur will probably never lose contact by itself. The pressure on the mouth is high and continuous when a horse is trained with rollkur. If you watch a video of gal or one of the queens of rollkur you will see the reins are never loose and when they are the horse follows.
      The horse is supposed to seek contact (hard to explain in English, since there's a difference between contact-anlehnung and contact-kontakt) which makes a loose rein once in a while more likely than never a loose rein, if the horse is correctly trained.

    • @janets6474
      @janets6474 3 года назад +1

      @@claudia273 I know what you are saying. But if you watch the rollkur horses, because they have such hard handed riders, they overflex (probably to avoid contact), many times the contact is lost. Then everything falls apart - especially in passage and piaffe. I bet that's why these horses tend to spook - well it looks like a spook but probably just another type of avoidance. I can't blame the poor things. It would be like someone pinching your arm and never being able to get away from it.

    • @claudia273
      @claudia273 3 года назад +1

      @@janets6474 ah okay, I thought you meant any loose rein. Since in their last piaffe the contact was slightly lost, while she gave him some more space. But you meant the loss of contact to avoid the pressure. In that case I agree with you :)

      @@claudia273 I thought you might be interested in this video from 2016. Watch as she comes into the ring. She has the inside rein cranked and pretty much is like that at least for the first minute or so. That's all I watched. But check out out the condition of this horse has declined. His hindquarters have lost muscling. In this new video he has what I call " pointy butt " where the tail almost seems to come straight out of the pointyness of his hindquarters instead of being nice and round.
      ruclips.net/video/UjGU1_WgI08/видео.html
      Now here she is from 2018 and you can really see what I mean about the lose rein.
      ruclips.net/video/hf048VlSzlI/видео.html
      She is trying to piaffe and just yanks him on his mouth then he bobs his head up and down. Just once, I would like to be at a show like that and say something once she leaves the ring!

      @@janets6474 Yeah, I watched them live at Aachen, that exact video.. I hoped she would give him some more time, since he seemed to have quite some trouble with the more collected movements. I believe he was quite young at that time. But I guess that collection will never be his thing. I would like to see her on a different horse, she’s kinda giving me Laura and Mistral Hojris/ Adelinde and Parzival vibes. Like he’s a little too much to handle for her. Btw, he almost looks like a different horse in that video of 2016..
