looks much stronger alberto . you know i picked up a nikko mini cooper last week and its the first time i have seen that suspension desighn on anything other than a tamiya . guess they borrowed the idea lol . great work bud :-0
Should be about the same strength in terms of overall arm durability but that pivot point will be way more resilient. Yeah everyone "borrows" designs in this industry!
You've definitely prolonged the life of hundreds and hundreds of these tamiya hot shots, awesome. I also like how much stronger you made them. On a slightly different tack, i got my tamiya bruiser look a like today and i want to lock the diffs, do you know the name and part number of the pins needed to do it and where might i get a couple of them. Great video. 😀👍👍👍
I just realised. Your lower arms are all v.1 V.2 lower arms are nearly identical but have the proviso for the Hotshot II/Super Hotshot/Boomerang front and rear CVA shock mounts. Something I only noticed since I just got a basketcase Hotshot myself, & have been looking at shock changes/upgrades.
Yes, one of the triangular holes is filled in except for a small through hole for a screw. There is a bracket for the shock mount that fits in the recess and it is attached to the lower arm by a screw & nut. This is the latter version of the arms, notice one triangle is filled except for a screw hole. The lower shock mount bracket attaches here. www.ebay.com/itm/New-Tamiya-F-Part-Tree-Boomerang-Hot-Shot-Super-Hot-Shot-Front-Arm-9005867/223125706401?epid=1305733610&hash=item33f35416a1:g:DxkAAMXQLs5RuyiQ in the lower corner of this listings metal parts bag ar the 2 lower cva shock mount brackets www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TAMIYA-SUPERSHOT-Pressed-Metal-Parts-HOTSHOT-SUPER-TP16/312014122663?epid=1042533575&hash=item48a57daea7:g:mIQAAOSw8UZaH7~i
That's a great question. On this car they are decorative but on the cars using the mechanical spead control that was where the resistors went. It was a very neat design concept.
Hi AMPro! The videos and 3D parts are awesome. I was wondering if you have an update on the battery enclosure. I am building a Hotshot for vintage racing and I am running into the same issue.
Thank you! Not just yet but I am getting there. Most of the design is complete and now it needs to be test printed but I am stuck on the Traxxas TRX4 interior so as soon as that is done I can finish this guy up!
Everything is on YouMagine for home prints but I am working on a new source for SLS and Multijet units like the ones shown. amproengineering.com/where-to-buy
I think TBG makes a body called the Dart that is for the Hotshot. I looks like they designed it to cover the top of the battery. Combine that with the battery compartment modification and you should be good to go.
Thanks Hot Shot is coming together nice. Yeah if you go aluminum on the control arms you must make everything else aluminum. Then after that you just cry Everytime you wreck it. 😂👍👊😎🏁
All the work you do for tenaya cars is greatly appreciated and amazing keep up the great work.
Any time man!
An older Video I missed. 😳 I really want these!! My old Hotshot has issues.....
The hotshots are full of issues....the one I got was a mess.
I'm enjoying this. Good decision on the aluminium. Only transferring damage to places you really don't want it.
Exactly. I mean they are very pretty in alu...
So have you put it on the track yet? I’m anxious to see it with new suspension and diff
You know I have not. I have barely touched it actually. I have wanted better tires but that means new wheels. I will get on it!
You never made a video of it running would really like to see that
I will. Havent had time.
@@AMPROEngineering - so you actually have NO IDEA if the parts are any good or not. They are 100% completely untested items that you sell?
Great video my friend again thanks for sharing it with us all 👍😊👍
Thank you!
Looks to be a good improvement! I’m building my dancing rider now
That is a silly car. I love it.

Thank you so much! I do not know the P/N but if you look at a rere bruiser manual PDF you can find it. I have been meaning to get to to that!
I just realised.

Interesting, so the HS2 has added holes but the same geometry?

and the rears have 2 lower arm versions, 1 for mounting CVAs in front of and 1 in rear of arms.
I am a little surprised no one else had noticed it before.
Have you done the Hotshot running Video? 😎
No, I have to buy wheels and tires for it
The project is amazing and now the car has exelent suspention y like your video👍😀
Thank you very much.
What are the silver "tanks" above the upper suspension? they look like counterweights...but not?
That's a great question. On this car they are decorative but on the cars using the mechanical spead control that was where the resistors went. It was a very neat design concept.
How about a stronger rear shock support for the boomerang??
That is on the list!
Nice work. Are they available in black? Do you have any plans to make gearbox casings?
Yes they are available in black. At this point I am not but time will tell.
Hi, where is the running Video?
Tamiya DF03 2.2” wheels fit with 12mm hex’s.
I need to do this video.
@@AMPROEngineering Waiting.. 😂😂🤣
Very cool, is that the original Hotshot or the newer one?
This is a vintage one but it has new parts and MIP diffs and all manor of misc stuff on it.
What's the front bumper? I couldn't find it on the shapeways site.
Oh boy I think it is an old You-G unit?
Hello. Do these suspension arms fit the Boomerang? Thanks
Sorry, I dont have one to try them on. I dont think so though.
This video reminds me of Red Wolf, the rival of Air Wolf.
Boy that takes me back
Great work. Hotshot kinda needs some help.
Boy does it.

Can I order you a copy? They look much stronger than originals...
Sure, there is a link in the description.
why not use a hardcase LiPo at the track?
They still wont allow a lipo to be exposed at all. Needs to be in a chassis and under a body.

Slowly but surely! I agree man, so many tears...
What material did you print? ABS?
No this is nylon.
