Thanks for the memories. We stayed there several years ago. Our room was the furtherest from reception. My wife ad i had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite just for ourselves.

Hi...have you stayed in a hotel called Pahari Soul situated on Hill Cart Road near Dali..do have a stay over there...A trillion dollar view,especially of the majestic Kanchenjunga and its sisters directly in front of you apart a 180 degree view of the full mountain range at fraction of the price of the hotel that you seem to be promulgating about...

In the 70's it was an open space where Woodlands built a restaurant. I don't recall any heritage building.
A lot of effort goes into these videos, making me very excited for my trip to India this summer. Also you are very cute!

When I'm rich I will go there, because right now I only earn the cost of room for 1 night in a month.
It's not all about the luxury though... you can still enjoy india for much cheaper. there's videos where you can live for $10 a day! you can always afford to go anywhere you want to if you put your mind to it!!! You can achieve anything!
Santosh Subba atd These are the top notch hotels there which you can avoid. Otherwise it is quite cheap compared to the metropolitan cities like Mumbai or delhi or pune. You can find decent hotels there under 20$ a day if you book it online from tour websites as they provide good discounts. One can easily spend 4 5 days there in just 10k.
+Laura Davis Exactly, people don't visit those places to stay in hotels anyway. It's about the nature, culture, cities, streets etc. Don't waste money on expensive hotels and save them for other expenses.

Stay elsewhere and go for tea/lunch. I used to go for tea almost every morning.

My hotel budget always INR 2000 to 2500 max for one night, now a days I go for OYO booking which provides better deals in good hotels.
