- The Barbie Movie with Margot Robbie opens today and I'm going to have to wait a week until I see it. So while I wait, I'm making my own Barbies out of LEGO minidolls. Some might say, Too Many Barbies. But those people are also no fun at parties. So I present to you - Too Much Barbie (s) - with so many different versions of Barbie that your head will spin. But only blond-haired, blue eyed and pink wearing ones. Malibu, Dreamtopia mermaid and fairy, Barbie and the Rockers (80s nostalgia), they're all there.
If you've just dropped by, I'm Ellie! Lego is an artistic medium and no matter your building expertise there is something here for everyone. Stick around and I'll build for you while I review new sets and create my own customs (MOCs). I tend to geek out about new pieces, get excited about learning new and interesting building techniques, giggle too much and just generally ramble. I'm easily distracted so things can get a bit hectic, but I'm sure you're down for that.

Ellie btw amazing build!! One idea tho, could you do a build that is upside down? Basically put the plate on supports (you could also use LEGO) and use it to hold it up! It’s a great idea of mine!! Keep up the good work!

IM LIVING FOR THIS NEW BARBIE ERA, THE MOVIE IS GONNA BE SO GOOD, AND ALL UR BUILDS LEADING UP TO IT ARE AMAZING! And it’s so funny, because in a way, the mini dolls are a perfect/near perfect size scale to a Barbie doll, making them dolls for dolls 😅. (That’s how I see it at least, AND THEIR POSABLE TOO! 🤩)

You could paint pants, the smooth, pocket-less kind, whatever skin tone you want the bathing suit for. Then try to transfer the hingy bit from other legs, or paint one.

I literally just came back from the movie theater from watching the Barbie movie! It was funny.
4:14 Mini dolls do have pink swimming suits! For light nougat there is one that Olivia wore back in 2017 in the catamaran set. By the way I love seeing those one colour outfits. I think I made the perfect MOC for that without knowing.

The doll with the pink stripe swimsuit and pink sarong is pretty accurate to one of the beach Barbies that recently came. She just needs a hairpiece without bangs or a pink sunhat. The last Barbie looks like she could be camping related. They do that theme a lot too.

The smaller doll in the same plastic case as the art teacher Barbie doll looked like Little Snowflake, the little-girl Elsa doll's baby sister, from the Come Play With Me RUclips videos. Only the smaller doll had chestnut brown hair and a darker skin color, while Little Snowflake had silver hair (since she was birthed by an adult Elsa doll) and a bright skin color. Speaking of loving frogs and the Come Play With Me RUclips videos, there was also a black-haired little-boy Kristoff doll named Benjamin, who was obsessed with frogs and bugs and the color green, in the Come Play With Me RUclips videos.
