Damn, this ride looked so much better when I rode it as a kid, it's probably been nearly 10yrs since I last went to this park. It really needs some fresh paint.
Bobbejaanland really has to do it's maintenance soon, the tracks are full of moss and it looks like it hasn't been painted since the day it was built. Overall it looks about as bad as an average Asian coaster.
I feel sorry for Vekoma, everyone associates them with SLC's and Boomerang clones (the latter of which is fine if they update the trains). Yet in my opinion they made the far superior version of a flying coaster, yes I said it B&M ones are not nearly as intense, and the Vekoma official model name "Flying Dutchmans" are way better if not better than even the best flying B&M's like Manta or Tatsu. And they also tried to make suspended swinging coasters like Arrow had, and so few stand. Honestly I could see something just like this being built today and looking great and being a good addition to a park. And the Six Flags with the best flying coaster is always going to be Six Flags America because it has Batwing. To end, there's barely a difference in their custom looper's like Arrow's, heck Blue Hawk with the new trains is nice and the best one besides Tennessee Tornado out there of that type.
OneAndOnlySound Have you ever actually ridden tatsu, it’s literally the most intense flying coaster period. Most people grey out. And they are far smoother than flying duchmans.
El_Ectric I actually have ridden both lol. I live in LA and I’ve been to universal Japan on a school trip and I thought flying dinosaur was incredible, but compared to tatsu’s hight and pretzel loop, it’s not rlly as intense. But it is very close
I love roller coasters, but I'm not riding this one ever because if the fact that i don't like being suspended over water, especially on a roller coaster.
spectrabomb it may be hard to maintain due to the fact that is built over water I to always get freaked out by coasters built over water for some reason but I end up going on them anyway
Vortex at Canada's Wonderland is the best Suspended swinging coaster because it's the fastest, the tallest, and it was built by Arrow Dynamics in 1991. Also it has better maintenance. So feel the grip of Vortex!
Just because something is bigger doesn't make it better, you are right about it being better but there are more things to out than just hight. Just sayin.
Yeah, I know bigger doesn't always mean better. I actually enjoy smaller roller coasters with multiple inversions or steep drops, or with even tight turns. I'm not one who says roller coasters over 200 feet are better than those that are less than 200 feet. I think roller coasters are better if they have more elements than the height of the coaster.Personally I don't care for coasters over 200 feet in height. I prefer coasters that have more inversions, steep drops, tight turns, or odd elements that are rare. I attend Canada's Wonderland every year and still haven't been on Behemoth or Leviathan so obviously I don't care about the height of a coaster.
No doubt about it. Eagle Fortress is the King of Suspended Swinging Coasters. ;) I was just saying that Vortex is good because it is the only one I've rode. I hope to ride a few more before their all gone. There is a clone of Vortex that opened in 1993 (Vortex opened 1991 at Canada's Wonderland) at Kings Island called The Bat, so I hope to add that to my list even though it's a clone of Vortex. I've heard it's slightly rougher than Vortex. Anyways Suspended Swinging coasters are fun and maybe Eagle Fortress will reopen or be sold to another amusement park. Long live suspended swinging coasters! :)
John Brooks Actually, Vortex and the Bat (formerly Top Gun and Flight Deck) aren't exact clones... very similar, as far as I know, but Vortex is at the very least slightly taller and faster and may follow a slightly different layout. I'm pretty sure Vortex is generally agreed to be the superior ride between the two, although I'm with you and have always been a fan of the suspended swinging models. Big Bad Wolf was almost inarguably the best example in the US before being torn down... now the only ones even operating in the US besides The Bat are Ninja at SFMM and Iron Dragon at Cedar Point.
Stop hating, share your meaning WHEN you've been on it! I live in Belgium and this is for me AWESOME since i've been on it. It may look slow but it's hella- fast
deze coaster is gewoonweg belachelijk, eigenlijk staat er maar 1 goede coaster in het park en dat is the Revolution maar het park is verouderd maw het is naar de kloten
+Daniel K The other main difference is that all of the Vekoma Flying Turns are either clones or have extremely similar layouts doing the slow, meandering thing. The Arrow suspended coasters were, on the whole, much more unique and dynamic rides. I believe 2 of 3 of the Vekomas now have the floorless trains, which they also supplied to Arrow's Vampire at Chessington.
just search for it :D - the crazy rollercoaster simulator with 3d tech and Kappa ^^^^ totally free. but youll have to get some butter before you can play :D
This is actually one of the bigger coasters in Belgium. Beleive it or not, but for the longest time a standard SLC was the most popular ride in the country, and probably still top 3 for a lot of people. But to its credit, it's actually a decent one.
Now this roller coaster is just boring plain black rails the building where it goes trough near the end is now just a dam wall and everything is just so much more boring on this now
Damn, this ride looked so much better when I rode it as a kid, it's probably been nearly 10yrs since I last went to this park. It really needs some fresh paint.
at first I thought it wasn't inverted but running on those two thin rails... man that would have been weird
55SuperShadow I thought so too
The thin rails underneath are theire so it won’t swing on the lift Hill and pre drop
55SuperShadow same, I thought this was to up the scare factor or something
0:51 LOLZ dat scream though!
shannon cheel hgygyh
Yes lmao 😂

hahahahah, made my day!
Scared THE ............. Out of me.
me and my daughter waited one hour in line and it was just stupid. I was happy that she liked it but it really isn't worth the long wait
looks like that coaster needs a paint job
have you seen it in real life
It just got one
yeah but Bobbejaanland they have some good coasters, but their known for not taking good care of their coasters
I remember the tracks being bright yellow when it first opened XD

Definitely an unpopular opinion there
@@billjoe206 "[Tatsu is] literally the most intense flying coaster period"
*Flying Dinosaur would like to know your location*

Starry Sky Ripper actually looks alot like a flying dutchman, it has a very intense and interesting layout.
I love roller coasters, but I'm not riding this one ever because if the fact that i don't like being suspended over water, especially on a roller coaster.
iron dragon at cedar point the same way
spectrabomb it may be hard to maintain due to the fact that is built over water I to always get freaked out by coasters built over water for some reason but I end up going on them anyway
Well if you get catapulted out better be over the water than land.

Oh please, Eagle Fortress blows Vortex out of the water... just a pity it hasn't run in 5 years.

Da ride didn't even drop yet and he already screaming
It's so interesting, I could FEEL this was Europe from the first few seconds of the video, but I couldn't tell you why I felt it.
Pardon me, but... *that's it?!*
Well... It was the first suspended coster in Europe back in the day so.. yeah...

tof voor u
@@matras05 Was there a inversion??? Pretty boring overall.
Samw
I've ridden one in Dream World
in Thailand
CoasterForce, so Swinging Turns is like an Arrow Suspended just much more uncommon?
Yes, but this one is different in that the original suspended trains were replaced by floorless ones (similar to inverts).
Awesome. It's kinda like the Corkscrew coasters by Vekoma and Arrow.
+Daniel K funnily, vekoma and arrow both made these swinging coasters
ShroomWalrus yes I know! it's uncanny! LOL

With the airplanes was this a better coaster. I went on it both. The airplanes was more fun.
