In World 7-Castle, This level takes place behind the cloudy sky background filled with skewers and mist where the Sledge Bros appear. Actually, the wind can be heard blowing really loud through the corridor when the player leads through the boss door to face off Ludwig von Koopa.
Coin at 12:49 is a pain to get! I can’t even remember the amount of lives I lost then having to turn around to rebuild them by replaying certain stages again to gain lives back on the amount of lives trying to get that damn coin star.
Believe it or not, the third Star Coin was also a pain in the neck to grab because of the scaffolding you have to hitch a ride on, and the Bob-omb cannons mounted on both the left and right sides as you're going up. When I first played this game, it...was... an absolute HELL, and the reason of why I said that is because, from what you're observing in this game involving the uses of both Ice Flower and the Fire Flower, my vote would be to use the Fire Flower in this level, because the Ice Flower will not do much good, including Bob-ombs. The big difference between using the Fire Flower and Ice Flower is that, as soon as you approach a Bob-omb, Mario will then shoot fireballs which will then cause a Bob-omb's fuse to light up, and then you can grab it to destroy solid blocks which then crumble into pieces, no matter if they contain items, or nothing else. Using the Ice Flower on the other hand, will only just turn your foes into frozen solid blocks of ice, and then throw them towards blocks containing coins. For this one, avoid using Ice Flowers, period, because as soon as you freeze the little guys, and turn them into ice, the Star Coin that is on the left side which is guarded by blocks, the blocks will then turn into metal blocks after you've thrown the frozen fella against the blocks, giving you coins, and that's definitely not a good way to go. My best option would be to finish a level you've previously completed that contains Fire Flower, and then start the whole World 7 Fortress level over from scratch. Now, this is where patience comes in involving the scaffolding and cannons. The way on how to grab the Star Coin when using the Fire Flower while also throwing lit Bob-ombs is to make sure you're keeping both the scaffolding you're riding on, and the Wii Remote perfectly horizontally balanced. As soon as you get past the third upper level, you want to move the Wii Remote just left a little bit, and then either wait until you're at the right level to do like, a bowling ball throw once the little guy is lit, or perform a well-timed jump and throw towards the blocks to grab the third Star Coin. This is a lot of information to take up.

You are probably using the cannons to skip worlds. You might of accidentally completed the levels via secret exits. You need to complete the whole world in order to get to the next one.
