I see they've jacked up the price for the Crown Grill.... I can remember it being $25 some years ago, and a few months ago, it was $29. They've increased to price now to $39. I have to reassess if it's still worth it. As an FYI, their italian restaurant, Sabatinni's, is now $35, also a $10 jump in price.

@@code4forlife just as a follow up as to why I am getting nervous, besides the not great video reviews I am seeing of Discovery. It has been about 5 months of constant issues since booking our cruise. I really hope the pre cruise experience is completely different than on board. We actually cancelled an excursion on the website on 2/13 that we had booked back in December on the website and still haven’t seen our refund. I was finally able to get hold of someone today and they told me I had to “request the refund”. Not just cancel something that had been paid for, but actually call in and let them know we wanted our money back as well?!? About the 7th issue we have had at this point. Just crazy. I love jazz, wife and daughter??? Not really fans.

We really enjoyed Crown Grill on the Enchanted Princess in January. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the steaks to dessert. We left totally stuffed, lol. Glad you had a great experience! The sea bass looked excellent, I think I'll try that next time. 👍
Your fillet mignon is bigger than the medallion served in the MDR. Are they different, and do they taste differently? I like the look of the lobster, big and chunky. Thanks for sharing!

So I’m usually a ribeye girl but last time I decided to try the fillet and it was Ho Estonian the best steak I’ve ever had on a cruise and almost the best steak of my life lol😂 I think I opted for it due to the smaller cut cuz you know ….the bread lol funny with all the cruises you guys take how hit or miss crown is … our first time was good see I d time meh third time great all on discovery …just started sailing princess last year though … scheduled again this April … not excited about all the new changed menus now in the MDR if you haven’t noticed they are changing them up starting on select ships … oh well more crown and buffet for us ! I think they will make the change fleet widesoon …

I think they’re trying to do cutbacks but the new menus I’ve seen are pretty bad just very very very limited and they don’t have the same things on them like all the time stuff the shrimp cocktail the fettuccine Alfredo etc. and she did say on a current video somewhere in the last maybe a week or two that it had carried over to a couple of other ships and I know it’s carried over to discovery It will either help or hurt them but I bet there will be more people in the buffet and maybe that’s a good thing because maybe they will step up their buffet game We shall see ! I’ll be curious to know how your cruise goes on the crown

I tried Crown Grill on Discovery last week. It was ok but not that much better than MDR (and I missed my usual MDR waiters Ruwell and King)!
