Gotta pass through the Magic Cave first. Do yourself a favor and make sure you teach Frog how to use Magic. If you have Marle,the Dual Tech Ice Water and kill most groups of enemies at this point in the game! We soon reach Magus' Castle. The Castle seems deserted at first,but explore a little bit and Ozzie will appear and summon enemies. Enemies in here include Hench,Vamp,Decedent,Omnicrone,Shadows,and Sorcerers. To the West,we end up facing a Boss called Slash. He's not too special for Phase 1,cast haste on everyone and stick to X Strike with Frog and Crono. Deal enough damage,and he starts another battle for Phase 2. Now he has swords! His defense is increased now. You COULD stick to magic,but X Strike still deals great damage. Note that any Buffs have been removed for Phase 2. YOu get a Slasher for winning. To the East,we face another Boss called Flea. The Fake Flea drains all the HP of the one who defeats it. For the real battle,he'll try to inflict various Status Effects on you,including Sleep,Blind,and Confusion. X Strike is again your best bet for dealing big damage in this fight. You get a Magic Tab for winning.
