In Massachusetts we call the small room before you enter the house a ‘mud room’. It is where we keep our shoes, boots, outdoor coats, raincoats - anything that we use outdoors. Your makeover is outstanding. Your laughter, Joyce, is music to my ears. A home filled with singing and laughter is all a part of God’s plan for a family! I love the message on the wall - “I love God”. ❤. In Canada we usually have snacks and drinks for our Carpenters, and they normally take breaks. My girls have summer break for July and August - kids live at home and go to school in the daytime (we live in the city). You have a beautiful family, and so nice that you are able to live in the peaceful countryside. Blessings
I think any light color would be best to make the room look more spacious and brighter and choose a washable paint, if possible, can't wait to see the next video and Sharon's reaction!

In the US we don’t allow children to write on the walls but some people paint a wall with chalkboard paint. The children can draw with chalk. I love that idea! In South Africa, Cape Town our children are on holiday now for 3 weeks. Phoebe is a beautiful child. I Think a white wardrobe will be beautiful. We call those guys contractors who do the home improvements.

If that's your front door, then that would be an enclosed porch. I'm pretty sure there's another word for it, but I'm not smart enough to know. :P I'm in the US. Kids get a break for Springtime, for a week. Then they get a week off for Christmas. I think they get Thanksgiving off, too, but I haven't been in school for a very long time. Then they're off for a couple of months for Summer break. I think there might be a few more holidays peppered in there that I'm not remembering. I just turned 44 a few days ago, so I haven't been to school in forever. As far as I know, we call people here in that line of work construction workers, contractors, I don't know as I've never had work done on a house. I live in an apartment, I'm pretty sure my landlord would have some choice words for me if I tried to do construction in here, lol.

In Israel everyone in my communal village (Kibbutz) walked barefooted, all the time, even to school and to the communal dinning room. In the USA people thought I was crazy when I, and my two little boys, walked around the block barefoot. Americans think it's filthy. I think it's natural, and healthy. Enjoy your son while he is still a child. They grow up too quickly.

Going barefoot is the best thing for him, along with playing with mud, and engaging in pretend play. He is very much like his dad: inquisitive, smart, and helpful. Your Phoebe is stunningly beautiful! Her English is fabulous, giving her young age, and the fact that it is not her first language. Being bilingual, and especially trilingual, is an achievement most people today can only dream of. I can't wait to see the girls' bedroom, once it's completed. I bet it will be beautiful. I think light gray wall color would be modern, sophisticated, and soothing to the eye. I like white curtains and blinds, too, to keep the room dark. I am glad you hired a contractor to build the girls' bedroom closet. I am sure it'll be much better built than the flimsy wardrobes found in the furniture store. I do not cook for my contractors, but I buy hoagies and soda at a fast food restaurant for their lunch. Good luck with everything!
You shall be there soon. I moved into my house incomplete in 2020, we didn't even have floor tiles like you do. We packed all our households in the garage room for months. But eventually, the work got finished. You'll make it❤
Phoebe might enjoy stenciling one of the walls with a fun pattern. I've seen it done on concrete floors/patios too. It looks good and it is cost-effective. Chalkboard paint is your friend when you have small children!😂 You could paint a small portion of the wall, or a wardrobe door even, for Jimmy to write/draw on. Looking forward to the makeover "reveal"! ❤️🤗❤️❤️
