Or another way to do this if you don't have a blow torch use a lighter or candle and whisk the flame from side to side then pat the splits shut . May burn you a bit but may save you $15/$20 a pop
It sure was a good fish mate, yep been repairing my plastics like that for a while now, typically i can do with just a lighter but when it came to such a big bait the blow torch was the go
The only issue i have with that Graham is the black smoke from the flames especially on the clear baits but yep it does work well

Great big barras dean I last fished Callide in November 2009 no water then you could here the filters from the dam trying to suck water in .back then was knee deep . Floods a rain make a big difference
that makes a massive difference mate for sure, they also suffered from the floods and some cold weather and lost a heap of fish

You should do it at least once mate, its fun but as graham says can be the fish of 1000 casts but always worth it

Have you ever heard of Mend-it? It's a plastisol solvent for repairing soft plastic baits. It's not a glue, it chemically melts and welds them back together.
Also, on days where you get so many followers and no strikes on the soft bait, have you considered switching up to a big hard bait like a DRT Klash 9, Deps 250, GanCraft 230?
I haven't tried any big hard baits on the followers yet no. But i did work out a trick on the followers on a recent trip that had most of them converting so that was cool. Have heard of mend it but can't seem to locate it here in Aus

Doing the shut downs at the power station? Maybe something i should look into for topping up the bank now and then 😊 I will let everyone know when KNW is up fully, have a bit of work to do yet. Yep a dare say a big flathead would love one, especially in the clear water

Completely depends on depth of water mate but my most consistent over all lure is the Molix Shad 140. Do you have them over there?
