On Sunday 17th October we held our Intermediate Salsa Workshop, building upon the prior week's Improver Salsa ( • Improver #salsa Worksh... ).
We started by looking at the Natural Top, a rock back away from each other before taking in hold and running around for three steps.
This then lead nicely straight into a Cross Body Lead.
You can use the Cross Body Lead to transition from closed hold to two-handed hold too.
Once in two-handed hold we can introduce the Basket (a wrapping action) and also the Hammerlock/Armlock Turn.
Before we taught the Armlock though we did introduce a Hockey Stick movement from closed hold (which you then use as the basic exit of the Hammerlock/Armlock).
Finally we had a brief recap of the prior week's Cross Body Lead with an Inside Turn
