The energy level was off the charts. All this in a pre youtube, pre windows 95 era with maybe 53 viewers on channel 53 on the am dial. This is the real deal boys and girls. Some bands try really hard yet barely raise an eyebrow. This group somehow manages to hit the stratosphere yet still remain true to their underground sensibility. This is the stuff of legends.
@@nonenone8963 omg, how I remember using the rotary dial on the old UHF on my parent's black and white Admiral TV. Lucky those freezing Canadian nights brought in, I wanna say, one and half channels more. Good times! You know, we probably were watching Good Times!
@@nonenone8963 ...and I don't remember complaining about weak wi-fi... we'd just take our bikes to the nearest rink and wreak havoc on our friends' hockey games
Just saw these guys live. They still have the same amount of energy (or possible even more!!). The singer literally lifted his organ upside down onto his shoulders and was dancing around stage. Without a doubt one of the best performances I have ever seen a band do. No more time to talk...going to go distort some tape as tribute.
This has to be one of the all time best public access appearances ever ! EVER ! Not one top 40 act in the last ten years has the talent that's used as the mummies .....uh.......uniforms ?
Boys and girls, before the internet, we used to form bands and play something called rock and roll. There is no better example than this, every minute of it
Better get after some Supercharger, first. Then...everything on RipOff, Crypt and depending on your car, In The Red. Estrus, BigNeck, Empty and anything that looks like it. Now. Go!

If the internet existed in 1991, these boys would have conquered the world

This is one of my favorite live sets ever, no shit
Now THAT'S how to play music. The Mummies have still never been caught. 👍

Do you know the name of this song? Thanks
@@pedrovasconcelos6361 The Fly
Maybe the best garage band ever. I'd bet you they spent more on those bandages than on those instruments!
i don't even know how could it be any better, great band with great vibes
The best thing seen on RUclips for a very long long time.. Brilliant
When The Mummies do a show the first thing they do is go to the bathrooms and steal all of the toilet paper
One of the absolute best bands in the world you ask them they'll tell ya
Fan for life! That guitarist is some kinda genius mad man!
anyone know what happened at @8:35 to piss him off. lol, I love this set so much !
i think i found my new favourite band

These guys were absolutely authentic!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Whoever made this video sound better thank you
Now I'm curious what those other bands in the opening title were. Actually, I'm curious about this entire show.
dude is just tossing around a keyboard that is half his body weight like its a toy
this is great
The most entertaining thing I have ever seen!
If you ever have a chance to see them live, it's pretty much like this, but with bodies & booze flying around.
There's so many things to love about the Mummies, this footage confirms it all. Happy Halloween!
8:35 "that is not the end"
I’m so grateful to find this
Ladies and Gentleman, Rock n Roll
Incredible!
THE MUMMIES: We're taking these amps back to the music shop. They don't feed back enough.
What a blast!
Budget rock showcase !
Just found out John Dwyer likes these guys. U can hear how they influenced the o sees
Yes, cuz they spent on the bandages than on their instruments!
Is this the greatest live performance ever documented?
I'll let you decide.
(But the answer is yes.)
Tis indeed
if we're talking cable-access, it's this and butthole surfers for sure
@@BrianKishreviews can’t forget Flipper from cable access!
There might be a screamer show that could rival this!
Oh and don't forget about the cramps at the at the mental state hospital!
Skinny Minnie... My dad was the roadie for The Sonics in the early sixties, and they played that one.
*love the Wrapped Ones!*
This is Serious, Mummies. 😀
Damn! Less than 9000 views in 2 years!!?! This is a killer performance!!!

No tocaron severlá, pero aún así gran presentación. Like
Were there ever any other episodes of this show? I'm really curious to know what else a show that would feature The Mummies might have showcased.
Can anyone tell me the name of the mummies songs that has barking in it?
Love these guys.
How does a $10 keyboard make it through the whole set ? Pretty sure it's duct taped together !
I'd like to learn more, please. Thanks

Anyone know their mic check song at 28:56 ?
It's called "In And Out", cover of Larry And The Blue Notes
@@enricobenassi9241 you have made my day, sir.
anyone know song that starts on 4:00 ?
I found. What a way to Die ( The pleasure seekers cover)
If my only purpose in this lifetime is to show somebody this band then that’s enough.
what is that song at 6:48?
The fly
I always wondered if they ever ran out of bandages before a show
Great Devo cover 😎🙃🤪
I've always been curious what bass and guitar are they using?
They're both Framus Apollo (but they also used Vox and later Fenders).
Crazy energy!
Anybody ever figure out why the frontman gets up in the bass players face at the end of The Fly
The bass player ended early. He yells “THAT IS NOT THE END!”

How could you tell ?
