Dragonite really does deserve some kind of special treatment. I honestly don't get how it still didn't get it by now when it's still a popular Pokémon to this day. A regional evolution or a regional form, a gimmick form like the upcoming Tera Masks or even just a signature move would do so much for it. And to add, Staryu still can be made into a regional form or convergent evolution if need be in a future generation, the potential is clearly there.
I truly believe we are going to see something called 'teraforms' where pokemon get a special look and they are able to change up to two types, I believe we could see a water/dragon dragonite that resembles dragonair in the DLC :)
@@marlonknockaert3233 I already know about Tera Masks. I didn't mention them for nothing. Yes, these Tera Masks will likely give a fixed dual type and maybe change Tera Blast to work differently as well.

Please, when you get to gen 4, PLEASE include Lumineon! I never realized how good it was until my Shining Pearl playthrough where it was my ace in the hole for my Cynthia battle!
what a brilliant idea! makes me think about how cool it would be if pokemon released a "smash ultimate" style game for the milestone gen 10 games. they have to do something special to celebrate hitting double figures right? if it gives us a fully available national dex it would be the pkmn game I'd play until the end of time^^
I dont think it ever hit me that the Nidos had unique typing and almost perfect coverage. I knew they had great coverage but 16/18 types is insane to think about
I like to believe the reason Psyduck hasn’t gotten any special treatment is that they struggle to wrap their head around regional varients or crossgen evolution and we all know how bad those headaches are already. They just want to minimise the harm done to the poor guy.
Gen1 pokemon that have been "untouched" that need a "touch up": Fearow- I was so disappointed when I saw Fearow for the first time. I thought Spearow would have some cool looking evo, but nope. A long face, a skinny neck that seems to be broken, and a big body. Maybe a Past-Paradox form. From Moon: "Drawings of a Pokémon resembling Fearow can be seen in murals from deep in ancient history." In Yellow: "A Pokémon that dates back many years. If it senses danger, it flies high and away, instantly." Yet Spearow has no such mention of the past in any dex. Dewgong- Such a cute little guy, but give it some new design. Make it more than a cute little seal. Make it the opposite of Walrein. Should've had an Alola variant. In USUM, Seels dex: "It has always been supposed that Seel live only in cold seas. Their having shown up in Alola is a mystery." Dewgong dex makes it seem like it adopted to Alola, "It swims through the ocean at a speed of eight knots, searching for Pokémon that will become its prey. It's especially fond of Wishiwashi." But Wishiwashi isn't intoducted until S/M. In UM its: "It sunbathes on the beach after meals. The rise in its body temperature helps its digestion." Yet every other game it's about staying and loving the cold (even getting "frisky" the colder it is). There are others, of course, but I think these are the main two that need some love.
I love all these series! Your imagination is sublime I could never think of the half these! Keep it up! Always happy to be an Imperial in the Cubone Empire!
@@WildArt0123 repetitive? Didn't Gen 1 already have 3 Grass/Poison type Pokemon (more if you count pre-evolutions)? It wouldn't hurt to make Golduck a Water/Psychic type.

Starmie, Nidoking and Nidoqueen are very powerful in any game. Great pokemon and I am kinda happy they haven't meddled with them - better like this than risk ruining them
@Emperor Cubone #6 Venomoth sounds like it would be a good choice for competitive, double battles. Even if better options exist. #4 That would be a cool set if you replaced Thrash with Toxic Orb + Facade instead. #3 Woah, wait, what!? Are you serious!? You found a shiny Staryu in Poké Paligo? #2 Dragonite is a cool Pokémon in VGC right now! It's strong! #1 It's great to see one of my most all-time, favorite Pokémon on that place on the list. Nidoking is a really good, offensive Pokémon with Life Orb. But I think it's too slow for my own liking. Sorry for the late comment. Keep up the good work, and put out those videos. :)
The fact that there's only 19 Evolutionary lines in Kanto that haven't received any sort of new feature (evolutions, pre-evos, Megas, Regional Variants, Gmax forms, Z-moves, etc.) is crazy
I'd say Seel and Dewgong since who else likes them or even remembers them? A regional form, a regional evolution, a convergent evolution, literally anything would make them more interesting than they're now.
I'd say Seaking is in the most dire need of an update from all the remaining Gen 1 Pokemon. As for what it could be, I don't know; a Fighting type variant that got buff swimming upstream?
@@GoinGreninja Dewgong is actually a really good Water/Ice pokemon. The problem it has is that Seel is almost always never available until the equivalent of gym 6 or 7, by which time the player already has a strong Water-type (and most times already has access to Lapras).
It's niche, but I found Hypno a very good user of Trick Room. Relatively bulky stats, access to Hypnosis (which is 100% accurate if gravity is in effect), can threat damage with Seismic Toss or Foul Play, and the best thing: Inner Focus -- it can't flinch in the turn it uses trick room... which I, by experience, know it's a disastrous thing when it happens.
@@emperorcubone Yes! Before Gen 3 EV mechanics, Hypno was far better because it could max out both defenses, HP and a little of its Special Attack too, which made it more like a mix of defense and offensive (while post gen 3 there's little room to invest it in offense). Both in gen 1 and gen 2 Drowzee is found early in the game, which helps a lot too its training during gameplay. Trick Room Hypno that I said I've played shined during double and triple battles in casual gen 5 and 6, when flinching was exaggerately common (don't know if still is). Being able to bait opponent's Fake Outs was excellent, hahaha. Few people knew it couldn't flinch. (I miss triple battles a lot)
From gameplay standpoint, i would get dragonite like down there lower than venomoth. You like can only really use it in 1-2 major fight without grinding. Venomoth can quiver dance up against the ai so easily and spam nearly unresisted bug buzz and sludge bombs. It's probably better than golduck, Dodrio is pretty debatable though since it can carry midgame with its raw great stats alone. But it definitely has a hard stop at starmie. But since you go over rapid spin on starmie, i will mention competitive too. Venomoth is better than dodrio and golduck, but these two cant really compete since golduck just get nasty plot and we dont know how it will interact just yet.then its starmie who has been falling off in stats department, nidoqueen as a defensive special wall breaker, nidoking as an offensive, and then theres dnite who keep getting better every generation with every generational gimmick benefitting it in some ways.

But there no royalty in his design. Seabking and kingdra got more royalty vibe
I like Quiver Dance sweeping with Venomoth in SV lol
I knew they had great coverage but 16/18 types is insane to think about
5:05 Frankly, I kind of do since Gen III since it's one of the few Pokémon who have logical access to Tri Attack.
As for my untouched Gen I favorites, Arbok, Cloyster and Victreebel.
I like to believe the reason Psyduck hasn’t gotten any special treatment is that they struggle to wrap their head around regional varients or crossgen evolution and we all know how bad those headaches are already. They just want to minimise the harm done to the poor guy.
Gen1 pokemon that have been "untouched" that need a "touch up":
Fearow- I was so disappointed when I saw Fearow for the first time.
Don't forget Seaking!
Tinted lens quiver dance Venomoth is a menace showdown random battles, if you let it set up you have pretty much lost
A ground bug besides nincada would be great tbh
A Flygon Regional Form is a perfect candidate for that type combination.
Wormadam is rightfully forgotten here!
Seaking singlefinnedly being the most useful Kanto Water type that doesn't have a gimmick or evolutionary difficulty:
This is a great video topic.
I hope this will become a series!!
In my head Canon dodrio's fly in the over world is just them running you from town to town lol
They don't need to fly. They just jump REALLY far.
@@kittensolder8818 That's how Superman used to do it until they realized it was easier to have him fly on film.
you don't need to trade a moon stone to get a early nidoking or nidoqueen as you can get the moon stone in mt moon
Great list, thanks.
I love all these series! Your imagination is sublime I could never think of the half these! Keep it up! Always happy to be an Imperial in the Cubone Empire!
Thank you! I wasn't sure if this should be a series or not, but there were too many to do all generations in one.
Baxcalibur already has its own signature ability and signature move.
3:38 Why isn't Golduck a Psychic type? 🤔
That alone would be enough of an update to help it out a lot!
Gen 1 already had two Water/Psychic pokemon evolution lines ( Starmie and Slowbro ), I guess GameFreak just didn't want to be repetitive.
@@WildArt0123 repetitive? Didn't Gen 1 already have 3 Grass/Poison type Pokemon (more if you count pre-evolutions)? It wouldn't hurt to make Golduck a Water/Psychic type.
Venomoth hadnt even been in a regional dex since gen 1 until gen 9
Something tells me that you literally put Hypno in the thumbnail just to get my attention.
Also I really want GameFreak to give something to Hypno, like a stat buff or even an evolution?
You gotta give my guy tentacruel some props. Unless convergent Pokémon count, but that’s a whole different guy. That’s a mushroom.
The Oddish line is pretty useful, even if they didn't get any special treatment (megas, g-max forms, etc).
Bellossom?
@@emperorcubone That's an addition to Gloom, not Vileplume itself.
Dragonite is good enough to where it is common enough in VGC right now
Starmie, Nidoking and Nidoqueen are very powerful in any game.
Love the Nidoking and Dragonite love. 💙 I would love both to get a regional variant someday- but I have to agree that they're both fantastic!
Nidoqueen/Nidoking are undeniably the best Pokémon for the adventure in Kanto.
starmie is literally my most used mon in ou atm it needs even more love please
Want untouched gen 2 video now plz ❤
Nidoking is still one of my favorites from Gen 1 even after all this time.
shoutout to Vileplume and Victreebel tho! They are quite decent, and very strong / fast on a playthrough
Agree with all these. Is there any pokemon that need an update and what should it be?
I'd say Seel and Dewgong since who else likes them or even remembers them? A regional form, a regional evolution, a convergent evolution, literally anything would make them more interesting than they're now.
I'd say Seaking is in the most dire need of an update from all the remaining Gen 1 Pokemon. As for what it could be, I don't know; a Fighting type variant that got buff swimming upstream?
@@GoinGreninja Dewgong is actually a really good Water/Ice pokemon. The problem it has is that Seel is almost always never available until the equivalent of gym 6 or 7, by which time the player already has a strong Water-type (and most times already has access to Lapras).
are you going to do this for gen 2?
It's niche, but I found Hypno a very good user of Trick Room. Relatively bulky stats, access to Hypnosis (which is 100% accurate if gravity is in effect), can threat damage with Seismic Toss or Foul Play, and the best thing: Inner Focus -- it can't flinch in the turn it uses trick room... which I, by experience, know it's a disastrous thing when it happens.
I've not tried Trick Room, but I did recently use a Hypno in Gold version and it was one of the best members on the team!
