Judging by the re-used sounds, I think the game takes place after Generations and before Mania which might seem like a pretty nifty concept. All and all, I'm definetley gonna take this for a Spin because boy did Team Emerald COOK a fine ass meal this time round!
Hmm... I like it so far! The music is spectacular, the level design is consistent and fun, it looks like the new abilities are fun to use. The only issue I have are the Sprites. I'd like to see different Sprites than Sonic 3's [which admittedly is a nitpick]. Good stuff!

The spirals are great in this! Has a classic Sonic vibe with the advanced series!
How I wished Sonic games continued on Sega Saturn, maybe with some anime cutscenes too!
