One of the biggest reasons I love to watch these kinds of videos is that it shows that, despite what msm and pundits and talking heads, etc., want you to believe, there still is a great amount of goodness in this world with folks like you just trying to do their small part to make the world that much better.
I started mowing (cheap mower with no bag), raking, weeding and edging my parents lawn and garden when I was 12 years old. I had other part time jobs + school as well. I had no edging so I used an old sharp knife and on my knees cut a nice sharp edge. My dad would be gone for month for work up north and my siblings were all much younger than me. If I didn’t do it, it wouldn’t have been done. My eldest son now has his own business just like Brian’s. He has the real equipment that I didn’t have access to back in 1970s.
Is it just me or are 99% of the yards you do corner lots?! 🤪 Keep up the great work and human kindness. You guys are a shining example of what is right! 👍🏻 👏🏻 👊🏻

This may be the best cleanup video on youtube. For me, a landscaper of 20 years, this was the most gratifying one I've ever seen. Imagine struggling as a single mom with all life throws at you and having to come home everyday to a yard as unkempt as this one while all surrounding yards are immaculately mowed and groomed. Now imagine her spirits when she comes home this day to see a perfectly manicured, professionally maintained lawn such as these men just provided her with. This guy is as good as they come, folks. And let me tell you that we do get pelted with flying debris when we weed wack these properties....and that stuff HURTS like hell. This guy is a hard worker who pays attention to detail. I'd work for him or hire him anytime. Thank you, Men.
Brian and son do great work. He has a big heart. Being a single mom myself doesn't mean you're helpless. There was a lot this mom could have done even without money. Hope she keep a up the yard now. Just get it cut and weedwacked once a month would make a big difference.

What you guys do for singles parents and the elderly is grate some people are not fortunate to be able to keep up on their yard work but there is some people who are willing to give back to the less fortunate keep up the good work top notch

Also in that situation once upon a time. Now at over 60, I just plug away little by little. Don't feel the need to have it all in one day. Health wise I couldn't do it like that anyway. Videos like these keep giving me motivation to keep chugging at it.

The kids come along and help do the work. That's the way Daddy raised us. How else do parents teach kids how to take care of family and be good citizens.
First, this was a large yard, and go figure, a corner lot! The overwhelm this woman must have had, to the absolute relief, was probably great. For free, she got a whole yard cleanup, not a small feat. Those many buried walkways, the chicken coop, the long curb, trimming the overgrowth, you truly beautified her yard. Now she can be proud, and hopefully upkeep some of it. God bless you Brian and also Justin, awesome work!
And now her and the whole neighborhood's property taxes will go up noticeably for next year. Remember kids, that one or two crappy houses on your block might be the only thing keeping you from seeing a 25% or more property tax increase!
@@hattiem.7966 I bought a reverse pie. Small front yard and large back yard. I can mow and edge front yard very quickly so neighbours are happy and mow back less often and keep grass a bit higher 3-4” so I don’t need to water it.

Wow! This is probably one of the biggest transformations I've seen so far. Not just how amazing the yard now looks but it changed the house from looking dilapidated to actually being a cute little house with curb appeal. What a blessing to be able to do this for people.

@@TopNotchLawns Most may do the cleanup and mow, but just the additional work on the walk ways and sidewalks with the edging and the cleanup between the blocks takes a lot of time but brings the property over the top. You treat each customer as their property is a multi-million dollar property with the quality and care you show to their homes and it certainly shows.

I was a single mom. My kids, the oldest at the time was 8 yrs old. We would clean the church property where we attended church in Port Neches, Tx. By our selfs.
I really like watching lawn transformation videos, but yours really makes my OCD kick in, lol! The way you just do random passes sometimes but property looks great and the neighbors probably love you for make their homes look that much better!!

A trick from my mom. Use a grinder to sharpen the blade of the shovel. It then cuts right through that stuff on the sidewalks, driveways and curbs. At 80 yrs old she could take care of her own sidewalk with a sharp shovel.

As a single mom, I must admit I get ticked off when people use "single mom" as an excuse as to why things dont get done. The phrase continues to be used to imply that being a single mom makes you incapable of doing or having funds to do jobs. Doing a job or chore has nothing to do with being a single mom, lets just say "doesnt have the time or budget" to do the job, not that you are a single mom. (sorry, had to rant :))

@@TopNotchLawns Most may do the cleanup and mow, but just the additional work on the walk ways and sidewalks with the edging and the cleanup between the blocks takes a lot of time but brings the property over the top. You treat each customer as their property is a multi-million dollar property with the quality and care you show to their homes and it certainly shows.

I was a single mom. My kids, the oldest at the time was 8 yrs old. We would clean the church property where we attended church in Port Neches, Tx. By our selfs.
I really like watching lawn transformation videos, but yours really makes my OCD kick in, lol! The way you just do random passes sometimes but property looks great and the neighbors probably love you for make their homes look that much better!!

A trick from my mom. Use a grinder to sharpen the blade of the shovel. It then cuts right through that stuff on the sidewalks, driveways and curbs. At 80 yrs old she could take care of her own sidewalk with a sharp shovel.

As a single mom, I must admit I get ticked off when people use "single mom" as an excuse as to why things dont get done. The phrase continues to be used to imply that being a single mom makes you incapable of doing or having funds to do jobs. Doing a job or chore has nothing to do with being a single mom, lets just say "doesnt have the time or budget" to do the job, not that you are a single mom. (sorry, had to rant :))

Agree re great job. I wonder what the yard will look like in a month (or less). It would be interesting to see what the yards you do look like a month after you do all that free work. Have you ever wondered that? Have you ever shown them? Do most people find a way to maintain them after all your very hard and detailed, professional job?
Once it is cut down normal lawn mowers can handle it much better.

I have no idea this gals situation or if her machine would not start or if she was caring for a sick relative or any other thing that might have stopped her from mowing the lawn.
It’s been raining a lot here lately, so it was probably not mowed on her days off because of rain.
