By the way, they are not cheap! Earlier this year, I had a 4-pound live-boiled lobster in Bar Harbor, costing $60. Your lobster is more than $200?! Can't believe my eyes, man!
Amazing trip! Love Vietnamese food but watching this makes Vegas, SoCal and NorCal eats look only “okay”. Nicely done with the content and camera work!! Thank you
Hello Sir, I happen to stumble into your channel and love your videos of Vietnam. You are articulate and seem to be down to earth and I like that a lot. Some how you make me miss Vietnam so much with all your splurging in Da Nang :). please do more video of Vietnam and thank you.
I'd like to visit Vietnam one day. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us. I love seafood also and would have loved to visit that restaurant. 👍 Let's hope the Alaskan crab industry recovers so we can continue to enjoy this wonderful resource.
There are many seafood restaurants which are a bit cheaper. Depends what you go for... imported Alaskan King crab and Australian/Canadian lobsters will cost more.
Very nice video, liked and subbed. Live King crabs have the sweetest meat of shellfish in my opinion. The Mantis shrimp did not look very appetizing but I would hesitantly give it a try, When in Rome! Thank you very much for sharing your experience.
Nice to see another Las Vegas resident currently enjoying Vietnam. Wife and I are currently in Saigon. Will be in Da Nang next week. Glad you chose to visit Vietnam. Enjoy the rest of your trip
Nice video that makes me hungry! I prefer king crab than lobster in SE Asia, because compare to Maine lobster, tropical ones grow very fast, and it's meat is not as tender and sweet as those in colder water. Do you feel that way?
I don't like freshwater lobster as much. This was imported from Australia, it was good. The claws are small but they're saltwater lobster. Only American and European have the claws.
This was an Ocean lobster from Australia, and it was legit (tasted great). It doesn't really have claws like the American & European) "True Lobster," It tastes better than the freshwater lobster, I've had some giant freshwater lobsters in Thailand.... they weren't as good as far as the texture of the meat goes, and flavor was a little lacking. But I still liked it.
From new england...HOME of FRESH seafood right off boats! Those must be spinal lobsters ours do not look like that....good video though...rock crab...lobster...steamers...little necks..oysters..LOVE IT HERE...SHRIMP...BLUE CRAB i love it...should of been mermaid LMFAO...
Looks very delicious but because of my faith, I can't eat any seafood life. There is also a larger wholesale Seafood in Korea Market. I went there to take pictures. Very interesting.
Did not finish it. That was a lot. My friend took it home (lives there). But most hotels have refrigerators, and there are studios & apartments there that are like hotels (service your room, etc)
No restrictions whatsoever. No testing, no quarantine, no proof of vaccine. All you need is a passport and a visa. Visas are super easy now using the e-visa website.
In indonesia that crab we call as " Mud Crab" and we used to cook it as "Crab in Black Pepper or Crab in Padang Sauce or Cran in Singapore sauce",very tasty and the meat is tender
If anyone was to ever ask me why they should go to Vietnam... I'll show them this video ... apart from the beautiful people and the scenery the food is epic
Las Vegas seafood is ice, not alive. Throughout Vietnam cities along the coast, you see lots of live seafood. Vũng Tàu is a famous seafood paradise for the locals.
There are lots of LIVE Seafood in Las Vegas. There are live Oysters, King Crab, Crab, Mussels, Clams, etc. They are flown in from around the world. Even Spain, Japan, Alaska, Everywhere. You really should do research. Las Vegas is not an ordinary city.
Why are seafood more expensive in VN than in the US? Weird since they're next to the ocean. I understand some are imported but they are overall higher than the US. They should have taken the rope off the mud crab before weighing since you're not buying the thick rope. Yes, almost everything else is less expensive.
There are cheaper places, and it depends what you get. This place is known for having things from around the world. A lot of their seafood items were extremely large, but you could still do a moderately priced meal here, depending on what you get.
@@lasvegaseats702 I’m live in Florida so restaurant depot is in Florida. I just went to Orlando and they now have a special at Bar Harbor Seafood restaurant for twin lobster for $19.99 but that doesn’t last all year.
I feel using a dull rounded butter knife is the best tool to crack crab shells. Dull so its safer and insert the knife into the emd of a crab shell and while holding the crab in one hand, motion upward to cut the shell. On hard areas like the knuckles, hold the blade side and tap the shell and it will crack.
Nikko is still good, but definitely took a hit after covid. They still have sashimi, crab and lobster, but it feels lacking elsewhere. Compared to US buffets, though, it’s still far ahead. I can’t come back to the States after being in Asia. Feels like American cities and cuisines are dying. Labor shortages, prices going waay up, same food.
In Las Vegas, it's $90/lb, for 1 frozen King Crab leg (as of now... and climbing). Check out my video for Legends Oyster Bar... ruclips.net/video/etihI70MLZQ/видео.html

Ok I hate to ask this. I know this is such a 1st world, spoiled brat question. But. The Lobster....how was it compared to Maine Lobster? Because every time - I do something other than Maine - man I can tell the difference. I've not had South African yet - but thus far .... "North Atlantic" doesn't do it for me. Just Maine.
I like Maine lobster (American & European with claws)... AND the spiny lobster (without claws). The only lobster I don't like as much is the freshwater lobster.
I continue to love his videos. His presentation is pure, soothing, and informative. Not hyper graphics and music madness.

No, the king crab was around 200 for 4.4 lbs. The lobster was about 100 for a fatty (forgot the weight). Imported from Australia.
That lobster in SOFL would b hun dreds of dollars.
