It's a nice option now that so many trails are burned / closed / etc.

Thank you for the video! We did this yesterday (4/2/21). The views are great on a sunny day, we even got to see drones overhead and jets taking off at March Air Force Base. You are right, there is zero shade coverage and it can be a little brutal on a hot day. There are a lot of little trails shooting off, but we had good cell coverage and were able to follow your step by step directions. Thanks again! 🥰🥰

Nice, glad you got to enjoy it, it's a decent hike with some nice views. And yea, lots of use trails all over. It can get a little confusing.

Awesome guide; I need to check this and Mt. Russel out maybe during more sustained cooler temps! Getting there to hike it when you did is like winning the lottery considering how insufferably hot it has been and will get again this week!

Ha I know, I missed the views on this day but it was really nice. It felt like I was in the clouds in the high peaks. And yea, go in the spring when it's green and cooler, it's really nice.
