    This is a Great video and I have got both of these! And I notice right of the difference of what could be done and the flakes are so beautiful but do is the powder. The flakes just have to be used only with a brush is the difference. Thanks again for this great video

    Thanks for the video. I’ve used both flakes and powder, but never side by side like you did. Nice to see the difference side by side. I love the flakes but you are so right, hard to work with. One tip for anyone using them. Static is the enemy!😄 when using flakes, I make sure to have a dryer sheet right beside me. I wipe my hand, brush, mold, and container before opening it. It’s not perfect, but cuts down the “flying flake” effect somewhat. Thanks again for your great videos.

    Just got these. But I got a box of flakes and a single jar of powder. I like both the flakes won’t last if u use them the same way as you use the powder I tried just brushing the flakes in random spots for the effects. Then resin with black works nicely. 👍

    • @Toonpish
      @Toonpish  3 года назад +2

      Hi Clare, did you see the bit in the video where I did that?
      You could use the flakes in resin with anything colour, such as white which would show them up.
      But it would be more like glitter
      There is a comment about mixing flakes with isopropyl alcohol.
      I’ve not tried that so no idea if it works 🤷‍♀️

    just starting. Do you put a mold release on before putting the powder on the mold?

      You don’t have to. It does protect your moulds a little bit. But if you do, wait for it to completely soak in and dry 😀😀💜👍

      But I now have a curtain as the sunshine was making the room far too hot for me.
      The combination is a great idea 😀😀
      I might give that a go 👍❤️
      Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment 🤗

    Which 1 gives the a shimmer look? Where did u buy it? Does the flakes rub off?

    • @Toonpish
      @Toonpish  10 месяцев назад +1

      Shimmer as in dual colour? They both do.
      Neither rubs of as they are attached to the resin. Could wear off over time like anything would. Patina
      You can buy both from Let’sResin

    Do you need a glue to make it stay

    • @Toonpish

      Not on a silicone mould no. On wood yes and cured resin sometimes 😀😀 hope that helps 😀💜

    The flakes are more like chopped up foils aren’t they.

    Looked this video up. Hmmm... Makes me wonder which is my best investment. 🙄

      Well the powder is more versatile and cheeper but the flakes are more dynamic.
      It’s really a personal choice 🤔
      I use both for different applications 😀👍😊
